Quote of the Day From Obama
Yesterday, President Obama spoke in front of graduationg seniors at a Kalamazoo high school and told them not to "make excuses" for their failures.
"Don't make excuses. Take responsibility not just for your successes, but for your failures as well," ......."The truth is, no matter how hard you work, you won't necessarily ace every class or succeed in every job. There will be times when you screw up, when you hurt the people you love, when you stray from your most deeply held values.
"And when that happens, it's the easiest thing in the world to start looking around for someone to blame. Your professor was too hard, your boss was a jerk, the coach was playing favorites, your friend just didn't understand. We see it every day out in Washington, with folks calling each other names and making all sorts of accusations on TV."
He told the students that "pointing fingers" and "blaming parents" and everyone else in their lives is not the road to follow.
"Ain't my f-----' fault!! Hendry's the f-----' guy!!"
How about this?
"You inherited a mess from your predecessor."
"You were still cleaning house when the disaster struck."
(Louisiana oil spill)
"You can talk about the previous 8 years."
"You can blame Bush."
("Miss me yet?")
"Those tea party folks just don't understand."
"You can blame Fox News."
Great advice, Mr President.

George Bush was not Barack Obama's mistake.
No, but he has been Obama's excuse.
It's a good thing that conservatives NEVER play the pass-the-blame game. By the way, shouldn't you write a post about Jimmy Carter again sometime soon?
Lance,
Just as soon as he surfaces again with some ridiculous statement.
I'll be there.
Here's the thing, Gary, do you have any exact quotes of Obama blaming the Bush administration? Or do you just have the ones you made up?
Bush had a good deal to do with the pathetic lack of oversight in almost all areas, from the SEC playing with pornography to BP passing up $500,000 worth of safety precautions. Obama didn't say that, I did. Its not an excuse, its simply the truth.
