Who is Protecting America?

How would you like to walk down a dark alley with this bunch: Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, John Brennan and John Morton?

No? Well, we already are. Yes, my dear readers, America is walking down the dark alley that is the world today with none other than these feckless boobs leading the way. These are the empty suits that Barack Obama has put on the front lines of America's defenses. Let's take a look.

First, there is Eric Holder, our Attorney General. This clown came to the fore during the Clinton administration, when, as Deputy Attorney General and assistant to the "legendary" Janet Reno...

...he helped ramrod some of those corrupt Clinton pardons through the pipeline. Remember Marc Rich and the FALN terrorists who were pardoned as Clinton was walking out the White House door?

Eric Holder.

Now, as Attorney General, he is opposing the Arizona immigration law and preparing to challenge it in court-even though he has not read it. Of course, this is the same incompetent who is still trying to decide if Khalid Sheikh Mohammed et al will be tried in New York-or Pittsburgh, or Kansas City or Philadelphia or Butte, Montana. He is also the same nitwit who couldn't answer a simple question last week before Congress as to whether Faisal Shahzad was even partially motivated by jihad when he tried to blow up Times Square.

Outside of all that, he's a good egg.

Then there is Janet Napolitano, our director of Homeland Security. Before that, she was governor of Arizona, presiding over a state sinking under the weight of the flood of illegal aliens storming across her border while she fiddled and accomplished nothing. Now that her successor, Jan Brewer has done something, Napolitano opposes the Arizona law-even though she also has never read it.

She's heard about it though as she testified before Congress last week.

Of course, when you think that to Napolitano, the biggest threat to homeland security is the growing number of right-wing "extremists" and returning war vets, you might not find time to read a 10-page bill. This is the same woman who referred to Faisal Shahzad as a "one-offer" meaning he must have acted alone.

And how about that putz in the White House who is advising the President on minor things like "man-made disasters", John Brennan? This is the guy who calls Jerusalem "al Quds". More recently, he has announced that he is looking for "moderates" in Hizbollah. And of course, he has recently been seen buttering up to the Islamic Society of North America even though they were listed as "unindicted co-conspirators" in the recent Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas.

Finally, there is the director of ICE, a guy named John Morton. Last week, he made headlines when he called the Arizona law "bad government" and implied that ICE agents may not cooperate with Arizona police who round up illegals. Bad government indeed.

Can you imagine what if we had had this bunch in power during World War II?

Pearl Harbor-"Man-made disaster"

Paris 1940- Hard working Germans taking advantage of "comprehensive immigration reform" and looking for work in France

Guadalcanal- "Overseas contingency operation"

Yalta-"Unconditional surrender"

"Surrender"

"Tell me what you need, Winston."

"Let me know when you got something new."

I guess they just don't make 'em like they used to.

Does the Obama administration have the worst act of terror on American soil on their record?

I know I'm not being original when I say this, but the Bush administration didn't get into office on September 12, 2001.

Unless something just as bad happens under Obama, his record is still better than Bush's.

Lance,

Certainly, it is fair to criticize the Bush Admin for whatever failures on their part before
9-11. It is also fair to criticize the Clinton admin. for their failures as the threat was building. There were many attacks under the Clinton admin.

The fact remains that the worst act of terror happened under the guys who you conservatives say supposedly "kept us safe".

I shudder to think what might
have happened had Bush not been
POTUS when 9/11 happened. I voted
for Bush twice and there were
many things he did I was ot fond
of. We can criticize each and
every administration and as
Gary pointed out, the Clinton
years were deaf, dumb and blind
to the threats building up within
the global terror networks.

Lance, are you laying the blame
for 9/11 on Bush?

The damages and debt being caused by Obama and his minions will far
exceed 9/11 in scope and longevity.
No, 3,000 Americans have not died in one attack on US soil under the
mullah in White House. It is only be poor planning and components
that we and this administration has dodged numerous terrorist
attacks under Obama. These are the
ones we know about.

Obama better than Bush. Comparing
the first year and half of both,
no, not even close. I am looking
forward to November.

Gary, all hell broke loose in the Golf of Mexico and you worry about past leaders. Their greed and disregard of this planet is coming to take its toll.

This is not time to look backwards but to understand that this time it won't help to "send in the Marines" or to compare leadership, but to get on your knees and pray.

Ingrid,

Speaking of the Gulf of Mexico, our present govt is doing a helluva job, as they say, aren't they?

Where did I write that? Jesus Christ on a trampoline, but you conservatives can never argue anything without putting words in people's mouths.

The rest of what you wrote makes me think that you must have some sort of a crystal ball. Time will tell, but as of right now, Bush still has a much worse record - which is my only point.

I sat out the 2000 election, observing that it was a choice of "Anti-Christ vs. The Blob," starring GWB as anti-Christ, and Al Gore as "the Blob," because he has taken every conceivable position on every conceivable issue during his long political career. (Remember when he was a pro-life congressman from Tennessee? How about campaigning in North Carolina saying "I have grown tobacco"? And he was the one who first made Willie Horton into a viable campaign issue, attacking the notorious leftist Michael Dukakis on his right flank).

I regret not voting that year, because one thing Al Gore would have done is continue the best thing Clinton did: generate budget surpluses and pay down the national debt, instead of doubling it and mortgaging our nation to the People's Republic of Capitalist China.

What would Gore have done on 9/11? He would have sent troops into Afghanistan, on much the same basis Bush did, but he would have recognized that we were there to kick the butts of the gang that attacked us, not to create a liberal democracy out of tribal rivals who are ALL involved in the heroin trade. Kick hard, thank our brave allies from the Northern Alliance, and get out. Pakistan would have been much less destablilized. Also, Gore would NOT have invaded Iraq on the specious reasoning that "it has better targets" than the country that did harbor the gang that did attack us.

Siarlys,

But could you have listened to Al Gore for 8 years?

If it could have saved a few thousand American lives, I would have been willing to listen to Al Gore for eight years.

Anyway, I don't watch much TV.
