Attack on Jindal Aide in New Orleans

Friday night, an aide to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and her boyfriend were attacked and badly beaten by a group of men as they left a New Orleans restaurant where they were attending a Republican fundraising dinner. During the dinner, protesters were gathered outside the restaurant. At this point, it is unclear who the attackers were and if the attack was politically motivated in connection with the Republican events going on in New Orleans with the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. There are also conflicting reports about whether the victims were wearing (Sarah) Palin pins when attacked. The below article is from The Hayride, a Louisiana political publication.

The below link is a report from Human Events:

At this point, the issue of motivation doesn't seem to be firmly established. If, in fact, the attack was politically motivated, then this would represent the most violent example of the political confrontations that have been occurring the past year. If that turns out to be the case (and I am not jumping to conclusions), what will the Keith Olbermanns say then as they try to paint the Tea-Partiers as racists, haters and dangerous right-wingers?
