Rick Sanchez Goes After John Ensign

So Senator John Ensign (R-NV) goes onto CNN's Rick Sanchez Show to discuss the attempted bombing of the Northwest flight over Detroit and boom! He gets ambushed by Sanchez, who really wants to ask him all about his love scandal. Any dope should have seen that coming. So now Ensign goes into his "real issues" spin about how people are suffering and he just wants to do his job, blah, blah, blah.

I have no sympathy for John Ensign, who, in my opinion, should be back in Vegas dealing cards at some casino or greeting customers at the Chicken Ranch. But, don't you detect just a bit of hypocrisy with Sanchez giving the third degree to anybody about morals? Let's do a remake on Sanchez's interview.

"Mr Sanchez. I gotta ask you about that night in Miami back in December 1990 when you hit that pedestrian while leaving Joe Robbie Stadium. You remember Mr Jeffrey Smuzinick, don't you?"

"Gary, I have answered all those questions. There are so many important issues that I have to report on..."

"But Rick, were you drinking that night? I mean, the guy was paralyzed and eventually died from his injuries..."

"Gary, I told you. I'm not going to answer that..."

"Rick, did you leave the scene of the accident?"

"That's all the time we have, Gary. Thanks for being with us."
