Pat Robertson: "Haitians Made a Pact With the Devil to Get Rid of the French"
This may anger some of my conservative readers, but I have always believed that Pat Robertson was a crank. Now, in his own Harry Reid-like way, while asking for relief help for Haiti, he talks about the Haitians being "cursed" because they made a pact with the devil to get rid of the French. The fact is that they were slaves under the French, and Haiti was created in the wake of a successful slave rebellion. So what is the pact with the devil that the Haitians made?
Oh, forget it! Who can expect this boob to make any sense?

I'm not sure what the worst part about that is - its insensitivity or its stupidity. Or maybe it's how the woman sitting next to him nods her head in agreement as though he's saying something that isn't completely crazy.
The woman should have gotten up and walked out.
I have to agree with you on this. I have always thought him to be one of the kooks of Christianity. At least he doesn't tell his followers to go out and blow up the world.
If you believe in the words of Jesus then it makes more sense that Pat Robinson made a pact with the Devil, since he is the one who has acquired great wealth. I think Robinson will burn in Hell.
Please research and understand what he is saying before you come down on him, if you do not understand or refuse to belive in spiritual matters you will find this a hard comment, but if you do ,say no more. It is everyones right to be wrong, and also voice there opinion

Pat Robertson has the right to say whatever stupid thing he wants, but where does he get off saying the Haitians made a pact with the devil to escape slavery? I am not an athiest, but where in Christianity is there something that says that one must make a pact with the devil to be delivered from evil? I've been following this guy for years. He is a self-centered, delusional empire builder who gives conservatives and Christians a bad name.
If there is a Devil, Pat Robinson is it! And what's worse is that there are people who believe his every word. They've failed to know universal love in the manner of which Christ lived...without judgment and odious remarks. I hope he burns.
There is a devil.
The whole world(not just Haiti) lies in his power.
Jesus can break up his bonds on us if we put faith in him.
There is no burning hell.
We are souls, we do not have a soul - so nothing can burn at death.
Pat Robinson is not the voice of God.
God does not punish innocent people
God will execute his justice at Great Day of Armegheddon.
Natural disasters are not caused by God.
When God executes justice, no more will the forces of nature be out of balance and so these types of occurrences will no longer occur.
Until then,take in accurate knowledge about God and prove yourselves ready.

I've gotta be honest here. Even though I don't find what Reggie Jones has to say to be despicable like I do what Pat Robertson has to say, it still gives me an uneasy feeling.
It's one thing to believe in a god. It's another thing to say that you know its mind. I don't trust anybody who tells me that they know what an omniscient being wants.
