It has just come to my attention that Friday night, a Muslim display was defaced in Mission Viejo, California (southern Orange County).

At this point, it is unknown who committed this act. At this point, however, it is incumbent on all of us to condemn the act.
This is not the manner in which to express our concerns about Islamic terrorism and the prospect of shariah law that we are determined to combat. Innocent Muslims should not be victimised in this manner. If someone has an objection to a mosque or minaret being built, there are civilized and legal ways to express that sentiment without attacking Muslims in general.
To commit acts like these only gives ammunition to people like CAIR, who will use it to discredit any opposition and try to silence opponents.
One of our best arguments against Islamic extremism is to show that we don't engage in acts of violence or destruction against Muslims in America. Acts like these hurt everybody.
