New York Governor David Paterson, in his state of the state address to the scoundrels in Albany, has outlined how he is going to save the economy of the state-he is assigning his Lt Governor to come up with a plan.

Meanwhile in Kalifurnja, Governor Katzenjammer gave his final state of the state and told the scoundrels in Sacramento that they need to do something to close the 20 billion dollar deficit, create jobs, support education and blah, blah, blah, woof, woof, woof, quack quack quack.
The most interesting things he pointed out are that the state currently devotes 11% of its budget to prisons and 7.5% to higher education; further that 144,000 individuals in the state are paying about half of the personal income taxes to support a state of 38 million people.
"Ja, und diese 144,000 verlassen Kalifornia so schnell wie moeglich."
(Yes, and these 144,000 are leaving California as fast as possible.)
Pardon my German. How did I do, Ingrid?

Not just NY and California. Most Blue states are in trouble. You cannot spend money like water if you do not have it.
Findalis,
Sure you can. The Dems have proven it.
Your German is fine, Gary. It should be Kalifornien. I wonder if the 144,000 are the chosen ones of whom the Bible speaks. (just kidding).
Ah yes! Kalifornien.
