While this guy is definitely worthy of mockery, I have to wonder if you saw the same absurdities in what Bush's press secretaries said on a regular basis.

I agree most WH press spokesmen are pretty bad. I liked Ari Fleischer and Dana Perino though.
I liked them too - for their unintentional comedy.
