Wolf Blitzer's Situation Room

"We have a situation! We need an ambulance to take Wolf to the hospital."

While on the treadmill today, I caught a few minutes of CNN's Situation Room with the hapless Wolf Blitzer. They should name it the Panic Room.

First, Wolf was announcing the pending landing of the world's first Boeing 787"Dreamliner" aircraft at some airport in Washington State. As he was interviewing some aeronautical expert, Wolf mentioned that it was raining in Washington and asked the expert if that would cause any problems for the landing.

Well, yes, Wolf. If the rain doesn't stop in the next 5 minutes, everyone on that plane is doomed. Then as if that wasn't bad enough, Wolf breathlessy announced that he was cutting away to show the actual landing (and possible crash) of the 787.
Whoops.

Yes, it was a Garuda Indonesian liner landing (or crashing).

So Wolf went to his ace correspondent, Jack (the Jerk) Cafferty, who launched in on his favorite topic, former president George W Bush and those 2 million e-mails that someone dug up.

""Hey Wolf! Here's an e-mail from Keith O. in New York City. He says, "Bush sucks!"

At this point, Jack the Jerk ominously asked if the e-mails would say anything about the US Attorney firings, the Valerie Plame "outing" and some other manufactured scandal I can't recall. That led to Jackie the J's question of the day-drumroll, please:

"Will we ever get to the bottom of the Bush presidency?"-or some dopey question like that to which he added, "here's a hint-no."

Hey Jack! We have a new presidency to get to the bottom of. Oh well, I can hardly wait to see how Jack's listeners responded.

Hey Wolf! Here comes that dreamliner now!
