More Lies Out of Copenhagen
EPA Director Lisa Jackson
It appears that EPA Director Lisa Jackson has been caught in a lie about the timing of her declaration to the Copenhagen summit about the EPA going into "command and control" mode over greenhouse gas emissions.
Jackson has issued the following statement denying that the proclamation was timed for the summit.
“The endangerment finding and the work here are separate,” she told a packed room at the Bella Center. “Certainly, I was glad we were able to complete the finding and make that statement just before, but that wasn’t the impetus for our work.”
(Hot Air)
But- there is this from Michelle Malkin:
Kate Sheppard,an environmental reporter for Mother Jones blog, wrote in a tweet:
"Lisa Jackson on yesterday's endangerment finding: 'We tried to make sure we had something to talk about.'"
Well, why would a distinguished public servant like Lisa Jackson say conflicting things like that? After all, she was the (ineffective) head of the State of Jersey's environment agency under Governor Jon Corzine, who appointed her.....
John Corzine?!!?
That's right. "Honest Jon" himself.
Not only that, Corzine appointed Jackson as his chief of staff, but then she was nominated to be the head of EPA in the Obama Administration.
Speaking of lies, Al Gore was interviewed this week by Andrea Mitchell (aka Hardball) and asked about Climategate.
"Tut tut", said Big Al. Those e-mails were 10 years old and have been "taken out of context". (Actually, the most recent is a month old, according to my inside source, Rush Limbaugh.)
In the wake of the suspicious e-mails and destroyed data, wouldn't prudent minds suggest that we slow down and determine the actual truth before we turn the world upside down in the name of saving Mother Earth?
No, even more than ever, it's full speed ahead before the public really learns the truth. It's kinda like the old sales pitch, "We gotta do this deal now!"
"Take my word, Grandma. This baby won't be here tomorrow."
