Free Speech at Arizona State University

Controversial Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was participating in a round table discussion yesterday at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. About 45 minutes into the discussion, protesters broke out in song, drowning out the discussion. Despite pleas from the panelists to cease, the little rascals continued to sing forcing the discussion to come to a premature end as the panelists gave up and walked off the stage.

My question is: where were the campus cops? Why were the disrupters not removed?

This is just another example of the twisted concept of free speech that exists on our university campuses.

Walter Cronkite would be so proud.

Ah yes, you are the ever-vigilant defender of personal freedoms, as clearly shown in the post immediately following this one.

Yes, Bryan, and one of those personal freedoms is the freedom to attend class without it being disrupted.
