This past Friday, Richard Antoun, a professor emeritus at Binghamton University in New York State was stabbed to death in his office. A 46-year-old Saudi graduate student identified as Abdulsalam Al-Zahrani was arrested at the scene and charged.

At this point, the motive for the crime is not known.
Binghamton University was also in the news last month (November 10), when anti-Israel activist Cynthia McKinney spoke there, and a controversy erupted over pro-Israel pamphlets that had been distributed outside being confiscated inside the hall by event organizers.
