The "New CIA- Bush-Cheney Scandal"

(Congressional Democrats)

"Mommy, mommy, somebody told me that Dickie has a secret and he won't tell me-waaaah!"

"Why that's terrible, honey. What is the secret?"

"I don't know, it's a secret."

"Who told you?"

"I can't tell you. It's a secret, waaaah!"

"Well, we better call the news media."

Are you following the latest claims of Congress not being informed of a secret spying program by the CIA that Vice-President Cheney allegedly instructed the CIA not to inform Congress about? Are you upset? Are you angry? Are you indignant? Why? Do you know why you are upset, angry and indignant? If you are, ask yourself this: What is it all about? Answer? Well, nobody knows.

"Extra! Extra! Read all about it!"

You see, amid all the mainstream news media reports about this latest Bush/Cheney?CIA skulduggery, everything is a mystery. Read the news reports. Everything alleged is according to "unnamed officials". What is this secret program that is alleged? well, we don't know because it is still classified, you see. Who says that Dick Cheney instructed the CIA not to say anything to Congress?

What, who, when, how and why? Nobody can say. Actually, let me amend that; the "why" was to protect the American people from another attack after 9-11.

Of course, former CIA chief Michael Hayden is angrily denying that his agency kept information out of Congressional briefings, and it has also been reported that the "secret operation" never actually got off the ground. Yet, the mainstream news media is running wild with the story, and the Dems in Congress are calling for the usual investigations. Could this turn out to be another case of the CIA eventually trotting out memos to prove that Nancy Pelosi et al were actually briefed on this "nefarious secret operation"?

But before we get all exorcised over this latest revelation, I would like to see an actual "unnamed official" come out and go on the record with these accusations, and I would like to know what this "terrible secret operation" was all about before I go calling for the heads of Dick Cheney et al.

There are a lot of things that are kept under wraps in intelligence circles. The public doesn't have a need to know, and the members of Congress can't keep their mouths shut.

I wouldn't tell them either.
