Now that CNN has been embarrassed over the Sarah Palin interview by Drew Griffin, in which he badly took an article by National Review writer, Byron York out of context to embarrass Governor Palin, CNN has now "made amends".
Well, not quite.
CNN has now removed that portion of the interview from its video, and Griifin has called York and National Review editor, Rich Lowry to apologize for the error in quoting York's words.
What they have not done is apologize to the person who was damaged by the error. That would be Governor Palin.
What they have not done is go on the air to clarify the error publicly for the benefit of those who watched the original interview or read about it.
The fact of the matter is that the average person is not concerned about any wrong done to Byron York or National Review, nor are they probably even aware of York or National Review. What should be done by CNN is to admit their mistake and do it publicly with a public apology to Governor Palin.
Until they do that, they cannot call themselves, "the most trusted name in news".

Are you going to go after O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, etc. the next time they completely pull a "fact" from their posterior?
If so, you'll probably have one by tomorrow.
Which isn't to say that you shouldn't be pointing this out, but you're awfully forgiving when those folks get their facts wrong.

Hey, I'm with you - they screwed up.
But this is a tiny blip compared to what your "heroes" (and I realize that your tongue is at least somewhat in your cheek - I hope!) do on a daily basis.
