Return to US

Yesterday, I flew back to the US with all the attendant pains. I figured that clearing Customs in Houston might be easier than places like LA or New York, but to my surprise, the airport there is pretty screwed up. The first thing a transit passenger has to do after clearing Customs and Immigration is go through the security check point. I had always thought one could smuggle a three-legged elephant thought European airports, but at least they had figured this one out. What was really annoying was the cattle car treatment from Janet Napolitano's "well-trained" TSA agents...

(figure of speech)

Worse than the discourteous treatment after a ten hour flight was watching them give the full monty to three elderly and disabled women, two of whom were in wheel chairs and having to remove their shoes, while a third with a cast on her arm was stood against a wall while being given the body scanner. It was disgusting. I should have said something and taken pictures, but I figured I would be arrested. As it was, I made a comment to a fellow passenger in full earshot of the burger-flippers. While I was standing at the end of the conveyor belt putting myself together, one of Janet's finest used his foot to shove three of those baskets for your belongings right against my feet moving me out of the way. ""C.S.-er", I muttered somewhat under my breath. He either didn't hear me or ignored me.

Here is my comment for the TSA suggestion box:

Why don't you try profiling for a change?

"The system worked perfectly."

(Which means either the passengers will subdue them or the FBI will catch them on the other end.)

Muslim Day Parade Images in New York

Hat tip Investigative Project on Terrorism

I am flying back to the US today from Germany, but I wanted to cross-post this article by IPT before leaving.

Hardly the right message to send given all that is going on overseas.

Man Arrested in Maryland For Asking the Wrong Question

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/09/23/maryland-police-to-review-arrest-parent-who-objected-to-common-core/

A parent is arrested at a town hall meeting for asking a critical question about the Common Core school program. Watch what happens in the above link from Fox News.

This is typical of how certain groups structure their q and a sessions. Instead of being allowed to engage in real discussion, audience members have to write their questions and hope they will be chosen. I've had to play that game many times. Other tricks are instructing questioners to stick to the topic, ask questions instead of making statements and return to their seat before the question is answered. That precludes follow up questions.

This is how the left operates. And now a man is arrested for challenging the wise people who rule us.

We are losing it, Folks.

Nairobi and the US

I am at pains to keep up the blog from Germany with my IPad. I am linking the latest from Atlas Shrugs on the Nairobi outrage.

http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2013/09/kenyan-jihadists-recruited-american-muslims-for-nairobi-mall-massacre.html

https://www.google.com/search?site=&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=982&bih=452&q=nairobi+all+massacre&oq=nairobi+all+massacre&gs_l=img.3...2253.9849.0.10450.20.12.0.8.8.0.537.3760.3j1j0j3j3j2.12.0....0...1ac.1.27.img..11.9.2385.lw4lBXV_kiw#biv=i%7C1%3Bd%7CydvgYwNOVyx82M%3A

How ironic that this and the massacre  outside a Christian church in Pakistan fall within days of CAIR' s 2013 report on Islamophobia- however they define it. They should thank God that here in America we don't subject Muslims to the treatment their co-religionists mete out to non-Muslims.

And to think that some of these savages came from the US-no doubt Somalis from the Minneapolis area.

Muslim Brotherhood Suffers Another Blow

From Erlangen:

Today's Frankfurter Allgemeine is reporting that an Egyptian high court has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood.

While that will no doubt set off alarm bells in Washington, the White House and the State Department, it is welcome news for Egypt and the world.

Kenya: Some Questions

Now that Kenyan (and Israeli?) forces appear to have gained control over the  Nairobi mall massacre scene and our vaunted Secretary of State John Kerry is promising an investigation, here is what I would like to see investigated.

http://vladtepesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/pict24.jpg

If it is true that three of the   attackers were US residents and they were Somali immigrants, who is responsible for letting them into the US, Mr Kerry?

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/23/world/africa/kenya-mall-attack/index.html?hpt=wo_c1

Can any senators or representatives  of Congress demand an investigation into our refugee policy, especially since we about to open the floodgates to more Syrians, Somalis, Iraqis etc.?

The Nairobi Attack

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/09/23/most-hostages-freed-after-military-launches-assault-on-militants-in-mall/

Several sources have reported that an Israeli hostage rescue team is assisting the Nigerian forces in the Al Shabaab terrorist attack on a Nairobi mall. That includes the Franfurter Allgemeine, one of Germany' s major papers, which I read today in Erlangen.

Also included in their report are eyewitness accounts that the terrorists forced hostages to read an Arabic text which they had brought with them. Those who could not read it were shot. In addition, Muslim hostages were told to come forward and identify themselves so they could be released while non-Muslims were killed including a five-year-old boy according to the Allgemeine.

I am reminded of that bus ad by Pam Geller and Robert Spencer. I goes something like this:

" In any war between civilized man and the barbarian-support civilized man. Support Israel."

Over 60 Dead in Attack on Christian Church in Pakistan

In case you didn't get this from CNN or NPR, here is the report from Pakistan, where a Christian church was hit by two suicide bombers.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/09/22/at-least-43-killed-in-suicide-bombing-pakistan-church/

Quite timely indeed on the occasion of CAIRO releasing its 2013 report on "Islamophobia".

MPAC Non-event in SoCal

Friday in the San Gabriel Valley area of LA, the Muslim Public Affairs Council held another one of their propaganda events labeled as a chance for non-Muslims to come and ask any questions they liked ("Let's Be Honest"). Edina Lekovic was one of the main speakers. According to my colleagues who attended, the questions had to be written down on cards and passed up front where they were screened and selected.

I can post more on this when I get home this week and can use a real computer.

According to what they told the audience, MPAC is expecting tens of thousands of additional Muslim  refugees to arrive  this year.

Saturday in Nuremberg

Central market in Nuremberg. Formerly Adolf-Hitler-Platz       Today

Yesterday, I took the train down to Nuremberg. The city was bustling because Borussia Dortmund was in town to play Nuremberg (in soccer) and thousands of Dortmunders were in town in their yellow and black jerseys expecting an easy win. Alas, it was a 1-1 tie, and they went home disappointed.

For me, I took the tour of the Palace of Justice, site of the war crimes trials and sat in the same courtroom. The small building where the executions were carried out was torn down back in the 1980s.

I also stopped in to visit Tony Gentile, our Italian buddy who runs Osteria da Tony in nearby Stein. Great Italian  restaurant.

Changing hotels today and return home Wednesday.

Cornel West-This Guy Is an Academic?

Hat tip Investgative Project on Terrorism

The answer to that question is in name only. The guy is a loudmouth crackpot, who proved it when he showed up at that much ballyhooed Million Muslim March in Washington and lent credence to the 9-11 Truther theory.

http://www.investigativeproject.org/4158/princeton-professor-embraces-9-11-conspiracy

This guy spoke at UC Irvine a few years ago, where he thrilled and delighted administration officials. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of it until it had happened. I would have loved to ask him a pointed question about who carried out 9-11 and ridiculed his equivocal answer.

What a fraud!

Erlangen (Cont.). Emil Behring School

Yesterday, as is my custom when I return to Erlangen, I was the guest of Helmut Haberkam, a local writer and teacher at the Emil Behring School in nearby Spardorf. I spoke before one of the English classes and answered questions from the pupils.

While some of their questions regarded studying English in America, many questions were about the NSA scandal, Snowden, immigration, Syria, and politics in the US.

While I tried to leave my partisan hat at the door, I wanted to make a couple of points where I thought they might have wrong perceptions. First, I said that any opposition to President Obama was not on account of race, rather it was opposition to his policies. Second, that the immigration debate was about illegal immigration. I made the point that immigration was a good thing, but that it must be done legally and be accompanied by assimilation and acceptance of the values and traditions of the host country.

Today, I plan to visit Nuremberg, tour the courthouse where the war crimes trials were held and visit an Italian friend who runs a local restaurant.
