The Amcha Initiative, an organization established to expose and combat anti-Semitism on US university campuses, has come out with a groundbreaking study grading over 700 universities in terms of which have the most anti-Zionist faculty. This comes in the wake of the establishment of a new organization on campuses called Faculty for Justice in Palestine (FJP), set up to support Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).
I note with regret (but not surprise) that the campus where I taught part-time for 18 years, the University of California at Irvine, ranks near the top. Of course, I am well aware of the activism against Israel that has gone on there for many years, which has led directly to the rise in anti-Semitism on campus. In the wake of October 7, 2023, that activism doubled down in such a shameful manner. There were 'teach-ins" and an encampment that had to be broken up by police when they refused orders to disperse. Another black eye for the uinversity.
