On May 19, the Southern California CEO of CAIR, Hussam Ayloush, received a "Person of Conscience" award from a group called the Orange County Peace Coalition.

A perusal of this group's web site reveals that is the usual collection of peacenik activists who say they oppose war, but who choose their causes carefully. In other words, they are left-wing activists.

Ayloush goes to great lengths to portray himself as a "human rights activist", but has a long history of intolerant or insensitive remarks about American Jews. This is the "person of conscience" who tweeted a desire for more fatalities after a Russian military plane went down over Syria killing everyone on board. He had to apologize for that one.

In addition, I would add that a "person of conscience" does not support entities like Hamas, or the Muslim Brotherhood for that matter. Ayloush, as does his organization (CAIR), supports both. "Persons of conscience" do not hang out with people like Muslim Brotherhood cleric, Yusuf al Qaradawy or Brooklyn radical imam Siraj Wahhaj or Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, whom Ayloush hosted recently at a CAIR gathering in Woodland Hills, California in the wake of her intolerant  remarks about American Jews and their "dual loyalties".

Ayloush is a hypocrite who goes around branding others as bigots, something he has accused me of twice. He himself, on the other hand, expresses his own bigotry in public and still manages to be accepted in left-wing circles as a "human rights activist" and "person of conscience." It is a sick joke.
