At Eastern Michigan University, All Courses Will Teach Black Studies

Hat tip Campus Reform

If you are a professor at Eastern Michigan University, it doesn't matter what you teach, you now will be expected to work black studies into your curricula.

And if you are a student at EMU, by the time you graduate, you won't know if EMU is in eastern Michigan or western Michigan.

And EMU is not the only one. Just a year or so ago when I was teaching English as second language at UC Irvine Extension, some hack in the main campus sent out a campus-wide solicitation for teachers to attend a workshop in order to learn how to incorporate climate change into their course. When I inquired and asked if this could be done with ESL, I was told that it was a perfect vehicle. At that point, of course, I dropped the matter.
