Syria: Meet Our Allies

Hat tip Atlas Shrugs and Sharia Unveiled (and Squid)

Viewer warning: graphic video.

This video is being cross-posted from Atlas Shrugs (via Sharia Unveiled). It shows an execution of two children by rebel FSA fighters because they were accused of supporting the Assad government.

These are the same people that we are now supporting and on whose behalf we will send our military into action. As Sean Hannity said today on his radio show, we are about to become the air force for Al Qaeda.

How long do you think it will take before these monsters turned their guns on American soldiers?

No. They're not.

How long will it take before they turn their guns on American soldiers? About half a second after one gets close enough to be seen through a rifle site.

Now, does the video of those two children being executed move you to want to send in marines to save such children from future executions and exterminate those responsible?

If not, why are you harping on the theme. That there were cruel nasty SOB's under arms in that part of the world we already knew. The details of their crimes are of significance only if we are gathering intelligence for a mission, or building up propaganda in support of a mission.

No mission, you're nothing but a voyeur. (I'm not at all sure a mission could be launched with a reasonable probability of having a beneficial outcome. But I'm not the one posting these videos either).

So, these are the guys we are helping out.

Of course it is only a matter of time before they will turn our guns on us.

What kind of "support" could these two teenagers, maybe younger, have given Assad?

These killers are sub-humans. At least they gave their customary Allah Akbars at the appropriate time.

Siarlys,

OK, Mr Kibbizer. Instead of picking apart everything I say, what is your position? Should we get involved or not? What is your plan?

I think we should have our satellites track every incipient firing squad the length of breadth of Syria, and send in special airborne navy SEAL teams in stealth supersonic transports, to take them out and rescue the children each time this happens.

Then we need to collect some really solid intelligence on exactly where all the chemical weapons stockpiles are located, and have a team destroy those specific stockpiles, with follow-up dispersing neutralizing reactive chemicals, preferably via drones, with sufficient precision that not one civilian is killed.

After that, we should have a team of Green Berets assemble an army of volunteers from the Druze, Christian, and Shia communities in Syria, and add any Alawites who renounce Assad, then draw in all the Sunnis that don't trust the foreigners (most of the al Qaeda fighters are foreigners), and train them to kick butt all over the country, including Hezb-i-ul-Lah.

Also we should airlift arms to the Kurds.

I don't think we're going to do any of that, but that's my notion of what might work. Most of it would have to be done covertly, so we wouldn't hear much about it until five or ten years later.
