Even in Texas the Schools Are Indoctrinating

Hat tip Worldnet Daily

"And now we are going to study
about the Alamo."                                                         Davy Crockett

Most conservatives have a perception of Texas as one of the states where common sense still rules as opposed to places like Massachusetts and California. Maybe we had better think again. Look what schoolchildren are being exposed to in the Lone Star state.

Here is the home page for CSCOPE. It contains some short responses to controversies surrounding their program.

If you believe this story, you might be interested in a bridge for sale.

There's a reason why it's called the World "Nut" Daily.

jakes,

I noted that the writer also writes for American Thinker. You don't like them either?

I just learned this week there will be a meeting in OC, Calif to inform parents about CSCOPE. It is being labeled as one of Obama's programs.

Aside from the fact you don't like wnd, what in the article do you think is false?

I don't know anything about the American Thinker, so I can't comment on that one way or another.

I guess it just stinks of bad cheese because it lacks any specifics. It doesn't name the school, teacher, or students. It reads like one of those bad urban legends, like the one about the kid whose stomach exploded when he drank a Coke after eating Pop Rocks.

Even if this turns out to be true, it's a poorly written article - one that would get somebody a failing grade in any respectable journalism class, I would hope.

Don't get me going on journalism classes.
