Imam Who Calls Jews "Filth" and Calls For Death to Gays Speaks at King's College-On the Environment

Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick

(Hat tip to Vlad Tepes for highlighting this story)

If you want an example of how far the UK and their universities have sunk, read this story from the Evening Standard (London).

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23809775-islamic-preacher-who-called-jews-filth-to-speak-at-kings-colleges.do

So I get it. If you want to be invited to King's College (University of London) to speak, just refer to Jews as "filth" and proudly remind us that the penalty for homosexuality (in Islam) is death and presto-

You are now an environmental expert!

I can just imagine it all now. All the left-wing students will be there cheering. The president of the university will be there clapping. The vice-president of the university will be clapping and laughing at the imam's jokes (if he has any, that is).

And of course, the nutty leftist faculty will be there carefully considering the words of wisdom from this "esteemed man" on how we can save our precious planet from the forces of man-made destruction (something the speaker probably knows a thing or two about).

Who knows, maybe if he says something really brilliant, he may even take his place alongside those other noted experts on the environment......

Extra! Extra! Qaddafi Calls for Jihad Against Switzerland

"Ji-had-ji-had"

If you are living in the US and get your news from the mainstream news media, you probably were not aware that Libyan leader Muammar Qadaffi has called for a jihad against Switzerland because voters there passed a resolution banning construction of any further mosques. Europe News (DK) has the news:

http://europenews.dk/en/node/30213

So far, I haven't been able to determine whether the Swiss have declared a national emergency, called up their civil militia, or mined their alpine tunnels yet.

Oh yes. Qaddafi has also been upset with the Swiss because in 2008, they arrested his son, Hannibal (I'm not making this up, folks) and daughter-in-law in Switzerland for beating their maids (lovely family, the Qaddafis, don't you think?)

ZOA Response to Erwin Chemerinski

I have recently posted the statement by UC-Irvine Law Dean Erwin Chemerinski regarding the question of anti-Semitism at UCI along with my own response, which I
e-mailed him as a courtesy since he and I both work at UCI. (To date, I have received no response.) Since Chemerinsky sharply criticized the Zionist Organization of America in his letter, ZOA has now responded. The below response by ZOA Director Mort Klein and Susan Tuchman, Director of ZOA's Center for Law and Justice is contained in the Jewish Journal.

ZOA refutes UC Irvine dean’s denial of anti-Semitism on campus

By Morton A. Klein, National President, Zionist Organization of America, and Susan B. Tuchman, Esq., Director, ZOA’s Center for Law and Justice

This is a response to a column by Erwin Chemerinsky

"It’s truly disappointing for a law school dean, Erwin Chemerinsky of the University of California, Irvine, to make so many false and misleading statements about anti-Semitism and Israel-bashing at UCI, UCI’s abysmal response, and the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA).

Chemerinsky implies that the ZOA has never been at UCI or spoken to Jewish students or faculty there. False. Over the past six years, we’ve visited UCI and communicated regularly with students, faculty, community members, and Hillel directors. ZOA President Morton Klein spoke at UCI, but students were so worried about a backlash from Israel-bashers that his lecture was moved just off campus.

Chemerinsky claims he hasn’t “heard one complaint about an anti-Semitic incident on campus.” Actually, there’ve been many. Last year, the president of the pro-Israel student group described UCI as “a hotbed for anti-Israel and anti-Semitic activism over the past seven years.” Last July, another student wrote that UCI is “a firsthand example of Islamic fundamentalist anti-Semitism.” In fact, two Jewish students transferred from UCI because of the hostile environment. Just last week, after members of the Muslim Student Union [MSU] heckled Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren, a student told the UCI newspaper, “Personally, as a Jew, I feel scared and threatened. . . . I didn’t expect it [the campus] to be so hateful . . . .”

Citing a letter signed by five students in 2008, Chemerinsky insists that Jewish students see UCI as a “warm and hospitable place.” He ignores the fact that 20 other students signed another letter contemporaneously, “strongly disagreeing” with those five students and expressing their “deep concern about the anti-Semitism at UCI that has been frequently couched as false and hateful attacks on Israel.”

Chemerinsky claims he hasn’t seen “the slightest indication of anti-Semitism.” Really? Jewish students have been physically and verbally assaulted, causing some to fear wearing anything identifying them as Jews or pro-Israel; speakers have compared Jews to Nazis and to Satan operating in the shadows; posters have depicted the Star of David dripping with blood and equating it with the swastika; a Holocaust memorial was destroyed; and swastikas have defaced campus property. Only last week, B’nai B’rith International wrote to Chancellor Michael Drake, conveying “our deep dismay at the severe and persistent anti-Semitic harassment experienced by Jewish students.” The “hate-filled demonstrations” at Ambassador Oren’s lecture “were merely recent examples of the anti-Semitic animus that has resulted in the intimidation of the school’s Jewish population for many years.” The ADL also wrote to Drake, noting that “[f]or the past several years, the MSU has staged many anti-Israel events at UCI, including a large event every spring featuring virulently anti-Semitic speakers.” Twice, Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) has written to Drake about the MSU’s events, describing them as “appear[ing] intended to encourage violence against the State of Israel and propagate the spread of anti-Semitism.”

Chemerinsky also claims that Drake “has responded and expressly proclaimed the inappropriateness” of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel speech, and that local leaders “are uniformly highly praising of Chancellor Drake.” Wrong again.

Drake has issued vague statements about abhorring bigotry and wanting a respectful atmosphere. That’s not enough. Last week, the ADL echoed the ZOA’s previous criticisms and requests and told Drake that his “efforts to maintain civility have not succeeded . . . [T]he situation calls for forceful moral leadership on your part . . . When the MSU or any other group or individual once again seeks to make Irvine one of the leading American academic venues for anti-Semitic expression, we urge you specifically, by name, to condemn such hateful expressions and those responsible for spewing a steady diet of hate on your campus.” B’nai B’rith also urged Drake “to recognize these manifestations of anti-Semitism as precisely that and to condemn them as such.” In 2008 and 2009, Congressman Sherman wrote to Drake: “As an American, you have a right to speak out. As Chancellor, it is your duty to condemn violence, hate, and anti-Semitism, especially when it occurs at the UCI campus.”

Chemerinsky claims that the ZOA’s civil rights complaint was dismissed because the evidence failed to show a hostile environment for Jewish students. False.

The complaint was filed on behalf of Jewish students under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which requires that federal funding recipients, like UCI, ensure that their programs and activities are free from discrimination based on “race, color, or national origin.” The U.S. Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces Title VI and decided that our allegations should be investigated. But then OCR’s leadership changed, resulting in a changed interpretation of Title VI. OCR decided not to consider Jews a “racial” or “national origin” group anymore, entitled to Title VI’s protections. The new legal interpretation affected OCR’s investigation. OCR refused to interview several witnesses and didn’t even visit the campus or interview UCI officials until the ZOA complained about the lack of thoroughness. The new legal interpretation also affected the case’s outcome. OCR’s decision that there was no Title VI violation was no endorsement of the campus environment or the administration’s conduct.

Last May, a UCI student courageously spoke out in this newspaper and admitted, “I have been told to censor myself so that potential students are not afraid to come to UCI, but I have had enough censorship. With truth comes power, not fear.” Chemerinsky and the rest of the administration should finally acknowledge the truth that anti-Semitism is a problem at UCI and the administration needs to take serious steps to fix it."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fousesquawk comment: From where I stand (at UCI), it is clear that both sides have spoken to Jewish students over the years who have different feelings about the controversy. Many are ok with the situation at UCI, have defended the administration and opposed the ZOA call for (any and all) students to avoid the university. They would prefer to see more Jewish students at UCI in order to strengthen their voices in defense of Israel, as an example. It is those students who Professor Chemerinski quotes. I respect their point of view.

At the same time, ZOA and the Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism have also talked to Jewish students over the past several years who are not ok with the situation and who have complained about different forms of harassment. It is also incontrovertible that UCI has lost out on prospective Jewish students who have decided to attend other universities because of the incidents that have occurred here. In other words, the damage has already been done.

Problems on UC Campuses

(This article was first posted on Grizzly Groundswell.)

Recently, I have written about disruptions and arrests occurring on University of California campuses at Berkeley and Irvine, incidents that have brought embarrassment to the respective schools. Unfortunately, two other campuses have been hit by embarrassing incidents in the past few days.

A few days ago, a Jewish student discovered a swastika carved into her dormitory door at UC Davis. The girl says she gets along well with all her dorm mates and is at a loss as to who did it.

At UC San Diego, a group of fraternities organized a so-called "Compton Cookout", meant as a spoof of Black History Month. Attendees were invited via Facebook to dress up and act like stereotypes of inner-city blacks. Black students at UCSD were not amused.

Below is a link to the invitation, the reaction of Chancellor Marye Anne Fox and a letter from a campus fraternity regarding the incident (San Diego Channel 10 News):

http://www.10news.com/news/22588063/detail.html

Then, a few days ago, a noose was found hanging on a book shelf in the campus library. Just in the past day, a female student came forward and admitted to the act. She has been suspended. At this point, her name (and race) has not been reported. These incidents have led to rallies in support of black students and a protest at the chancellor's office. Given the already-simmering controversy of the cookout, the noose must be assumed to have been hung as a racial statement. Given the past history of lynchings in the South, the noose has a definite racial connotation. It is highly troubling that this would occur on a university campus-or anywhere else, for that matter.

UCSD does not have a high black enrollment, and now the university is facing demands that they increase their number of black students and faculty, as well as set up a resource center for black students.

Yesterday, Governor Schwarzenegger spoke of the racially-tinged incidents and said that they will not be tolerated. It is not clear what action will be taken by the university against the organizers of the "Compton Cookout" since it occurred off-campus. However, if their rules of conduct are the same as UCI's, there should be a provision for off-campus incidents. It would also seem that action could be taken against the fraternities if they were indeed acting as sponsors.

I think it is high time for UC President Yudoff to step in and exercise some firm leadership if you get my drift. Forget the "sensitivity" sessions and the holding-hands rallies. That's always the response, and they do no good. They also tend to deteriorate into demagoguery of all the other issues in the world. The students at UCSD have shown their support of their black classmates, and that is good. If the university makes an example of the haters and troublemakers on campus by getting rid of them, everybody else will get the message. Then the nooses and the swastikas will stop.

Blackwater Saves Jerk of the Year

Alan Grayson
Jerk and ingrate

Our old friend and 2009 Fousesquawk "Jerk of the Year" Alan Grayson (D-FL) is back in the news again, though he has tried not to be. It seems this month, Grayson found himself in Niger (for some strange reason). Lo and behold, he found himself in the middle of a coup attempt and had to be flown out of the country by some military contractor outfit called Xe Services (formerly known as Blackwater.)

But Wait!

Wasn't Blackwater and all those private contractors one of Grayson's prime targets?

"Uhh,......yeaaah".

That's right. So now, one would think that Grayson might want to say something nice about the people who saved his sorry behind, right?

Wrong.

Take a look at Grayson's website and see if you can find one word about the Niger incident. That's what I just did, and I can't find a word.

Nada.

So, being the ace investigator that I am, I found the search box and typed in "Niger". And lo and behold, here is what I found.....

http://grayson.house.gov/News/DocumentQuery.aspx?SearchPhrase=niger

Don't bother searching, "Blackwater" or "Xe Services". I already tried. Same result.

That's right; it seems our intrepid congressman doesn't even want the public to know that he was over in Niger this month carrying the flag of America in the middle of a revolution, running down back allies, dodging bullets, hopping over walls and barely escaping in a helicopter. How modest.

"The flight was arranged through the State Department," Todd Jurkowski, Grayson's spokesman, has confirmed to CNN. "The Congressman did not know, and frankly did not care, who owned the plane.” Later, Jurkowski provided more details in an e-mail confirming that Grayson was flown out of the country on a "Xe helicopter."

(Jurkowski?!?!?) You can't make this stuff up, folks.

Jurkowski was also asked whether the experience had changed Grayson's opinion about private military contractors. Jurkowski replied: "The Congressman does not deny that there is admirable work being done by some employees of private contractors. However, he stands by his criticism of companies who have been found to cheat the American people, defraud our government, and unnecessarily risk the lives of members of our military, all in the name of making a profit."

So there you have it. The 2009 Fousesquawk "Jerk of the Year" winner, whose press spokesman is named Jurkowski, is the early favorite to win the 2010 "Ingrate of the Year" award.

At which point, he'll hire a new press spokesman named Ingratski.

Anjem Choudary Calls For the Queen to Convert

Anjem Choudary, the fruit-loop imam in the UK is at it again. This time, he is calling (again) for Queen Elizabeth to convert to Islam, the imposition of Shariah law in the UK and..what else? Oh yeah, an Islamic revolution in the UK.

I'm not making this stuff up, folks.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/royals/2688103/Hate-preacher-Anjem-Choudary-tells-the-Queen-to-turn-Muslim.html?=&ATTR=Royals

I think the Queen's soul will be just fine without Mr Choudary's "spiritual counsel", thank you. Besides, she has enough worries on her hands between Choudary, George Galloway and......

You know who.

Choudary (2nd from left) and his council of ministers issuing the proclamation calling on the Queen to convert. (I think the Arabic means, "Death to Fousesquawk!")

So don't look for the Queen to convert to Islam any time soon. But there is good news for Mr Choudary.....

What Are They Teaching at San Diego State University?

Roger Hedgecock,a former mayor of San Diego and radio talk show host, had a San Diego State University student on his show on 2-24-10. I urge you to listen to this interview. It runs from about the 3 minute mark. What you will hear is a young female student studying for her teachers certificate who has been assigned by her teacher in an Introduction to Multi-Cultural Education class to read books with such chapters/titles as, "Re-thinking Columbus", and "Why I'm not thankful for Thanksgiving". Another reading describes George Washington as a "murderer".

Then she describes a previous experience at Mesa College (San Diego County) where she sat and listened to a professor criticizing the Iraq war and calling our troops "murderers". When one student, who was an Iraq war vet, objected, the professor replied something along the lines of, "Oh, that's a cute explanation" ridiculing the veteran for his service.

http://live.radioamerica.org/loudwater/player.pl?name=rhs&url=http://feeds.radioamerica.org/loudwater/rhs/000001067_000_000000011.mp3

Of course, the two dopey professors have their own right of free speech, which means they can stand up on their soapboxes in the classroom and indoctrinate their students-our kids-as to how evil their nation is. However, we have a right to know what our kids are being taught and what is being preached in our taxpayer-supported universities.

Remember those schools-San Diego State University and Mesa College.

Ontario (Canada) Legislature Condemns Israel-Hate Week

With the organized "Israel Apartheid Week" coming to many campuses across North America, the Ontario Canada Legislature has taken the courageous step of standing up to the radicals and anti-Semites by condemning the event.

http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/771524

-The Star (Hat tip to the Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism)

Beginning March 1, many North American campuses will bring together the usual coalition of Israel-hating Muslim Student Associations, America-hating leftist academics and other misfits. You will see and hear fiery speeches condemning Israel. You will hear speeches condemning America. And yes, some of the speeches will cross the line over into anti-Semitic Jew hatred. Of course, they will try to deny they are anti-Jewish-just anti-Zionist. But what is the distinction when they support suicide bombers, Hizbollah and Hamas or anybody else that is trying to kill every Zionist Jew they can find in Israel?

Yes, it will be another embarrassing week for the universities who host these vile events. They will wring their hands and talk about free speech. Columbia University, that great institution that has hosted Ahmadinejad, but denied the podium to Muslim apostate Nonie Darwish, will host one Ben White this year. He will speak Tuesday evening. White is a UK-based journalist who hates everything about Israel. His language has been so vociferous that he is widely accused of being an anti-Semite. He denies the charge, but has said in writing that he can understand why many people dislike Jews. Strange. I remember a few years back when a radio shock jock called the "Greaseman" made a similar comment about blacks. As a result, he had to go on an apology tour that lasted months.

As for my own campus, UC-Irvine, I don't yet know when their annual "event" will be-probably in May-that is if the MSU still has standing at UCI in the wake of their multiple incidents, the most recent being the disruption of the Israeli ambassador's speech on February 8th.

If you are part of a university community that is hosting such an event, I would suggest you take some time to attend as many of the speeches as you can. Listen to the hate. Find out what is really going on at your local university. If you don't like what you see and hear, let your feelings be known. Write a letter to the newspaper and the university president asking why such hate speech is practiced on the campus. Talk to Jewish students and see how they react to these events. The fact is that universities prefer that these events occur as discreetly as possible lest the public become aware.

Become aware.

People are entitled to their opinions on Israel vis-a-vis the Palestinians. That is no excuse for a rise in anti-Semitism. Make no mistake; anti-Semitism is on the march. It is also on the march in Europe-yes, that sophisticated continent we Americans all like to emulate because they are so......sophisticated. Over there, the rise in anti-Semitism is approaching 1930s levels. The call it "anti-Semitism without Jews" because the Jewish community is so small. (We know why, don't we?) Yet, Jews in many large European cities like Paris, Malmo, London, Brussels and others are afraid to go out wearing Jewish garb lest they be accosted verbally or physically by Muslim immigrants.

But it's not anti-Semitism, you see. It is "anti-Zionism". That's what you will hear most of the speakers say, but some will not be able hold back their hatred of Jews.

But it's free speech, folks. Nobody will be arrested for what they say next week-nor should they be. But their words must be countered and called for what it is. Hate.

The Priorities of the "Most Ethical Congress in History"

Those were the words of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once upon a time. Meanwhile, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY) has been "admonished" by the House for accepting corporate-paid trips to the Caribbean, while on the Senate side, Pat Leahy's (D-VT)priority is putting ex-Justice Department lawyer John Yoo in jail for writing memos outlining which harsh interrogation techniques against terrorists were permissible.

In the case of Rangel (he's the guy who basically oversees our tax tax for all you US-Santa Cruz Community Studies majors), he is claiming that he never saw memos that his aides wrote to him warning about the fact that corporations were paying for his travel to the Caribbean (where he owns a secret little hide-a-away in the Dominican Republic-but that's another story). In fact, he even fired one of the aides, but he, on the other hand, refuses to step down from his post.

"Are we there yet? Where am I? How did I get here? What memos?"

Meanwhile, Pelosi, when asked about all this, says, "We'll just have to wait and see what happens."

"I don't think that's funny."

Then there is that horse's ass in the Senate, Pat Leahy.

Leahy is the pinhead on the right.

His current Republican target is John Yoo. According to Leahy, the man who wrote a legal opinion of harsh interrogation techniques in the interest of stopping any further 9-11s must be put away. That's Leahy's warped view of wrong-doing. Then it will be the CIA agents who applied the techniques and conducted the questioning. If Leahy's dream comes true, he can work this all the way to George W Bush and Dick Cheney. Never mind why they authorized it. What the Hell is a few more thousand American lives against the "rights" of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?

Just another day in the "most honest and ethical Congress" in history.

"I don't think that's funny."

No? How about this?

"Now that's funny."

Rangel Denies He Knew Who Was Paying for His Trips

News item:

Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, is denying that he had any idea who was paying for his trips to the Caribbean.

"Excuse me, Sir. Do you know who is paying for your trip?"

"Why no. Do you?"

"Of course not."

David Paterson Finds Himself in the Box-Will Not Run

Remember a few days ago when New York Governor David Paterson announced that he would run for re-election in spite of a New York Times investigation into extra-marital affairs and that the only way he would leave office was in a box?

"Uhhh.....yeaaaah."

Today, Paterson announced in the loftiest terms that he would not run for re-election because of certain, uh, "distractions, obstacles and obfuscations" that keep him from "getting his message" to the people of New York.

The distractions/obstacles/obfuscations are that another report has come out, this time about Paterson's alleged intervention in the attempt of a woman to get a restraining order against one of Paterson's aides in the wake of an alleged violent attack. According to the story, Paterson and/or his members of his entourage "persuaded" the woman not to get the restraining order. In other words, Paterson got "his message" to the woman.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/25/nyregion/25paterson.html?hp

That's right, Yogi. The Governor of New York.

This guy Paterson has more personal scandals going than Bill Clinton when he was in the White House. No matter how lofty he words his decision not to seek re-election-the guy is a sleazebag.

Say goodbye, Governor.

The "Demands" of the UC-Irvine Protesters

In connection with the arrests of 17 persons this week at UC-Irvine, the UCI website has posted the demands of the protesters. Here they are below:

1) We demand that UCI administration implement a comprehensive financial aid system by fall 2010 that apportions grant aid (excluding loans from the equation) and on-campus housing based on family wealth rather than income. Financial aid must be designed to counteract the economic effects of structural and systemic racism in our society.

2) We demand the immediate direct hiring of all outsourced ABM workers and fair pay for all campus workers. Students and workers do not support discriminatory hiring practices that victimize immigrant, Latina/o working families.

3) We demand that Chancellor Drake publicly commit to seeking out private donations that will specifically fund financial aid to AB540 (undocumented) students or begin providing financial aid for AB540 students directly from his office’s discretionary funding. We want administration to publicly recognize that AB540 students do not share the same economic freedoms and securities as other populations.

4) We demand that UCI administration immediately disarm all police officers of Tasers. This action is supported by the December 2009 ruling of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Taser has replaced the lash of the whip as a device in the service of state-sanctioned anti-blackness, evidenced so blatantly at UCLA this past November, and UCI’s administration should lead in the banning of this device.

5) We demand that UCI immediately equip the campus with gender neutral bathrooms. Students and workers who do not fit the illusion of gender normativity suffer routine violence and intimidation. UC should not privilege heteronormativity over the interests of its LGBT community.

6) We demand the recall of the three groundskeepers that were laidoff in October 2009 and the reinstatement of the 5% time reduction of the entire campus of AFSCME 3299 service unit.

7) We demand that no disciplinary action (academic or legal) be taken against the 11 students arrested at Ambassador Oren’s event. UCI and the surrounding community’s repeated attacks against, and hyper-surveillance of, Muslim and Arab students aids in branding legitimate political criticisms against the apartheid state of Israel as ‘uncivil’ and fosters a segregated cultural, social, and intellectual climate for the university. Deploying rhetoric that equates anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism serves to annihilate rather than engage in dialogue.

8) We demand 100% funding from administration for a recruitment and retention center for underrepresented students. Recruiting and retaining students of color and low-income students should be a campus priority, but UCI has neglected to support these important efforts.

9) We demand that until state-funding has been restored to the UC system in full, that all budget cuts imposed in the fall be redistributed by imposing an equal percentage cut to each of UCI’s schools.

10) We demand that UCI administration immediately reinvest in the ethnic, queer, and women’s studies departments/programs. UCI should foster an environment that is supportive of students who are considered outside of the “mythical norms” of our society. As evidenced so blatantly at UCSD this past week, Black subjects are in an antagonistic position against the institution, this sentiment is reinforced by administration and creates a safe space for anti-blackness. UCI administration should lead in creating a campus that engages in academic, political, and social reeducation which challenges structural and individual racism, sexism, heterosexism, and homophobia.

11) We demand that Chancellor Drake publicly disclose all of UCI’s military and private security contracts. Furthermore, we demand that Chancellor Drake shut down the Center for Unconventional Security Affairs and discontinue all military and Homeland Security contracts that aid in both the mass murder of people around the world by U.S. imperialism (particularly in Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza, and Pakistan) or the violent police repression of students and workers within the U.S. In solidarity with workers and students around the world, we demand an end to genocidal imperialist wars for profit and empire: U.S. imperialism out of Iraq and Afghanistan!

12) We demand that UCI not feed the prison-industrial complex. We demand that UCI end its contract with Motorola by fall 2010. Furthermore, we demand the removal of all Dell, IBM, and Texas Instrument products by fall 2010 as well.

UC Berzerkley Goes Berzerk

Future leaders of America

Is there a future Democratic senator in that crowd?

(Washington Post)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/26/AR2010022603382.html

Last night, UC Berzerkley lived up to its long-standing reputation as King of the University riots when unhappy students occupied a hall, overturned set trash dumpsters on fire, broke windows and threw projectiles at the police-all because they are unhappy about UC fee increases.

Only two arrested? Will they call them the "Berzerkely Two"? I wonder what their "punishment" will be. The spotlight is now on you, UCB administration.

I also wonder if MSNBC will run a story on this incident-or will they continue to rant against the tea-partiers for their "dangerous" conduct.

Where is S.I. Hayakawa when we need him?

Rangel Should Resign Congress

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/25/ethics-panel-finds-charles-rangel-broke-rules-ap-sources-say/

That's right, Charlie. Blame it all on your aides. That what Rangel has done in the wake of the report that he broke House rules in connection with a trip to the Caribbean. Interesting how by day, Rangel was at that big health care summit and by night holding a press conference on his own (denied) misdeeds.

That, in fact, is the least of Rangel's problems in connection with his real estate holdings in the Dominican Republic and New York and resultant tax issues.

And this is the guy who basically writes the tax laws for the rest of us!

So what will House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chirp about that "culture of corruption" now?

It is time for Rangel to go.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our troops for their victory in Marjah, Afghanistan. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.

Celebrity Endorsements-George Galloway for Spandex

Good evening. I am the great George Galloway here to speak to you about my favorite product-Spandex. As you may know, I am the national representative for Spandex in the UK.

Nothing is more comfortable than Spandex. There is nothing more relaxing when I come home from a busy day of causing problems than to slip into my Spandex, light up a cigar and enjoy a nice bowl of warm milk.

Spandex is also quite convenient for those times I must risk getting arrested for my various activities in support of Hamas...er...the people in Gaza. If I think I may have to go to jail, I just pack a Spandex suit in a small bag and I am all set (don't have to put on those silly-looking orange pantsuits, you know).

Spandex is also great for traveling. Especially those long truck rides around the Middle East trying to find a way into Gaza. I don't have to change into my pajamas when I am trying to catch a few winks in the back of a lorry. I even brought a set of Spandex to my good friend in Gaza, Ismail Haniya.

In addition, because Spandex is so stretchable, it gives me complete freedom of movement when I get into a rock fight with those evil Egyptian police.

And here's another great feature of Spandex. It's easy to wash. Let's say you spill a bit of Iraqi oil on your Spandex suit. Just pour water and it all washes off. No trace, if you know what I mean.

That reminds me; Spandex makes a great gift. I have given Spandex suits to all my friends in the Middle East, not only Ismael Haniya, but-

Saddam Hussein

and his charming son, Uday.

In fact, Saddam and Uday loved them so much, they wore them to the day they died (R.I.P.).

"Are you comfortable, Saddam?"

"Yes, quite comfortable, thank you."

Well, I have to go now. I am already preparing for my next trip to Gaza, which will have to be by sea since those evil Egyptians won't let us cross into Gaza by land. Oh, that reminds me; in case those evil Israelis blow our boat out of the water, Spandex is also waterproof.

(Hey kids! Figure out the secret Red Rider message and win a prize!)
