Suspect being arrested
-VRT (Be)

Two days ago, in Antwerp, Belgium, a 76-year-old bus passenger was stabbed in the throat and killed. The alleged perpetrator (38)  was another (male) passenger. He was quickly taken into custody at the scene. There is no known motive for the attack, which appears at this point to be random.

There are no further details regarding the stabber other than the video showing his arrest by police. The video shows him walking toward police with his hands in the air and lying on the ground per the commands of police.

The below article in De Standaard is translated from Dutch by Fousesquawek. In a separate article, the area of the incident is described as a problem area where buses are often pelted with rocks and even shot at.

Man dies in apparently random knife attack on a bus on Lineroever: "I heard the bus driver screaming"

On a De Lijn bus on Linkeroever in Antwerp, a 76-year-old man was violently killed. Two others, including the driver, were injured. The 38-year-old suspect was arrested, (and) police assume a random attack.

At 2:30 pm, a 76-year-old man was stabbed to death on a De Lijn bus on Linkeroever in Antwerp. He was reportedly stabbed in the throat. Two other persons were taken to the hospital with injuries. The suspect, a 38-year-old man, was arrested on the bus. That is confirmed by police spokesperson Kim Bastiaens.

Caption: The police were quickly at the scene.

"The two injured are the bus driver, who is in shock, and a 63-year-old passenger, who tried to intervene," says Bastiaens. The passenger was injured in the leg. At this time, police believe it was a random knife attack.

The forensic lab team arrived at the scene to search for evidence, and an investigation began into the circumstances of the incident. "Witnesses were interviewed, and camera images were seized," says Bastiaens. The police closed off the site from bystanders with a black tarpaulin.

Report of strange behavior

"I heard the bus driver screaming," says an employee of the Woonhaven Housing Company, who was catching some fresh air when the incident occurred. "I saw the bus departing from the Iglo stop. After less than 20 meters, he stopped again. I thought that something was wrong with the vehicle until I heard the bus driver shouting. Residents and people from the service center immediately came to see what was happening."

The police were quickly at the scene. Before the stabbing incident happened, they had received a report about a passenger who was behaving strangely as he boarded the bus. The dead victim had boarded the bus at the Iglo stop, (while) the perpetrator was on the bus for some time longer.

In video images, the perpetrator can be seen walking toward the police with his hands in the air. He was held at gunpoint and lay on the ground at the command of the police, whereupon he was arrested.

According to a Woonhaven employee, the bus driver held the doors closed until the police arrived.

Italy: Islamization in School

HOMEWORK!

The below article from yesterday's online edition of Il Tempo describes the on-going problem of Italian schoolchildren being subjected to Islamic propaganda by their own schools. Field trips to mosques, classes for girls on how to don the veil, and suspending intermission snacks for students during Ramadan. Now the latest: A Teacher in Civitavecchia has reportedly assigned pupils homework to draw images of angels reading the Koran.

This latest example has drawn the ire of members of Italy's conservative Lega party.

The article in Il Tempo is translated by Fousesquawk.

Islamization in school: The angel reads the Koran. The left applauds.

June 16, 2025

Another case of Islamization in schools emerges in Civitavecchia. According to the complaint by Silvia Sardone and Rossano Sasso, the teacher of an elementary school in Civitavecchia reportedly gave as homework the creation of an angel reading the Koran.

"In an elementary school in Civitavecchia, as reported by the municipal counselor of the Lega (party), Antonio Giammusso, and some parents, some teachers have reportedly given as homework to their pupils, the creation of a rather unusual piece of work: An angel reading the Koran. After the school closing for Ramadan in Pioltello, class break snacks banned in Soresina, so as not to offend Muslim students who were fasting, courses to teach female students how to put on the veil in Abbiategrasso, and the many school excursions from Treviso to Sesto San Giovanni, to Savona, organized by nursery schools and schools to the mosques of the territory to listen to their  (spokespersons) talk about "holy war", all that's missing is the (call) in the Koran, the sacred book of Islam, that urges the faithful of Allah to kill the infidels, meaning Christians and Jews. We are already at a point of no return: The Islamization of our schools must be stopped at all costs because the education of our children cannot be left to imams and politically aligned teachers. Will the left also applaud, as always, this choice, waving the usual flag of multiculturalism?   On the contrary, this is a dangerous drift that consigns even our smallest (children) to Islamist propaganda." This is in a letter from Deputy Secretary and European Parliament member, Silvia Sardone (Lega) and Lega group leader on the (parliamentary) education commission, Rossano Sasso.

Italy: Manhunt for Serial Rapist

Adige River, Legnago (Veneto), Italy

On Friday evening, in the northern Italian municipality of Legnago, near Verona, a woman who was jogging along a river bank was attacked and raped by a man in his 30s, whom she described as "Maghrebian" (North African). A similar attack against two other women happened in the same area the previous Friday by a similarly described man.

The below article from Larena (Italy) is translated by Fousesquawk.

Woman attacked and raped on embankment of Adige

Attacked and raped while taking a walk with her dog on the embankment of the Adige. The terrible episode, which is being investigated by the Carabinieri of Legnago, occurred last Friday, shortly after 7 pm, along the right bank of the Adige on the stretch between the Principe Umberto Bridge and the Mantova- Monselice railway bridge. It is a zone often frequented during the good weather season, but not only then, by lovers on a walk and running in the open air, given the presence near the river of a nature trail operated by volunteers from "La Verbena".

The attack

Based on witness statements given to the (Carabinieri) who came to her aid, the woman, a resident of the area, was attacked in the middle of a field of reeds by an unknown person, apparently, a Maghrebian (North African). The violent act was interrupted by the barking of the 40-year-old's dog, which attracted the attention of two passersby. In fact, their presence disturbed the rapist, who took off, leaving the victim semi-nude and in shock in the middle of the bushes. The two passersby immediately alerted medical personnel and the Carabinieri. The woman was then transported to Mater Salutis emergency care and then transferred to a hospital in Verona for treatment and examinations required for victims of sexual violence. The Carabinieri, therefore, have initiated a 360-degree investigation to track down the perpetrator of the violence, who, according to some witness statements, having carried out the serious crime, reportedly fled on foot in the direction of Principe Umberto Bridge.

Shock and alarm

In the meantime, the news has spread rapidly throughout the city. And yesterday, social media was flooded with messages from those asking for more clarification, and especially, wanting to alert so many people, especially women, who frequent that stretch of embankment to walk or to run. Called into question by an alarmed citizen on the web, Mayor Paolo Longhi, wrote in a post yesterday: "At this time, I am on the telephone with relatives of the victim, who I know well. You can imagine, therefore, my pain, in human terms  more than institutional and (my) firm condemnation of such a cowardly  and unacceptable act." Longhi then stated: "Law enforcement is already operating with maximum determination to identify the perpetrator and deliver him to justice." "As mayor," the (mayor) continued, "I am personally following the matter and have requested an immediate reinforcement of control of the sensitive areas of the city. Beginning with the embankments of the river". Finally, Longhi observed: Of course, law enforcement cannot be at every corner, but we are doing whatever is possible to offer them all the support of our administrative police."

Other incidents

The violent act committed Friday against the 40-year-old on the embankment is reportedly the latest in a series of similar attempts reported in the past days along the same shore of the river. "The previous Friday," reports a young woman who reported to the Carabinieri an act of attempted violence against her committed in the embankment area north of Vigo. "Miraculously, I was able to get away from a Maghrebian citizen, apparently about 30 years old, who, half naked, grabbed me by the arm while I was running along the bicycle path." "Fortunately," the woman continues, "I managed to throw myself into the vegetation and got away with a few scratches, then called my mother to come in my car. And at the same time, something similar also happened to another woman". For this (reason), the complainant assumes there is a connection between the brutal experience that happened to her and the violence that occurred Friday evening.

France: A Study on Afghan Asylum-Seekers in France

A new study has been published by the French Office of Immigration and Integration (Ofii) showing the dramatic increase in Afghan refugees in France. Of particular interest is the overrepresentation in crime, a poor record of integration, and the fact that Afghan women make up less than 20% of the numbers, even though their obvious repression by the Taliban regime would give them a priority in gaining asylum. Or so one would think.

The article below from Le Figaro is translated by Fousesquawk. The report was initially reported by Le Point, but the article is subject to a subscriber block.

Immigration: More than 100,000 Afghans are living in France, requests for asylum increasing "exponentially".

By Elisabeth Pierson

Three days ago

A report for Fondapol (progressive think tank) and the Observatory for Immigration and Demographics shows that Afghans have become the leading nationality in requesting asylum after the Ukrainians. A "massive, recent, and unexpected phenomenon in its size," says the report prepared by Ofii.
In 2007, some 1,600 Afghans were living in French territory, according to Insee*. Twenty years later, there are 100,000, of whom three-quarters arrived in the past 10 years, a report for Fondapol and the Observatory for Immigration and Demographics reveals. This report, published on June 6 by the French Office of Immigration and Integration (Ofii), underlines a "massive, recent, and unexpected phenomenon in its size," according to its Director General, Didier Leschi.
That is because among the Afghan community, three-quarters arrived after 2016, the report reveals. 89,000 hold a residence permit, and more than 10,000 others were being processed by Ofpra**  (French Foreign Affairs Ministry) in 2024. Depending on the time needed to process, "they will recieve a residence permit in 2025 or 2026. This propels the Afghans into the top 10 nationalities holding a residence permit," even though the historical ties between France and Syria are older and deeper, France having exercised a mandate over this country (Syria) beginning in 1918".
Protective system
Among European countries, France is one of the favoured countries, yet far behind Germany, which registered 34,000 asylum requests for the entire year of 2024, compared to 10,300 for France. Why (France)? The report notes that the provisions are more favorable for Afghan refugees. While the average rate of protection for Afghans in Europe (that is, the rate of asylum request approvals) is at 63%, remaining very low in Sweden at 40%, it remains above 70% in France.  It is a reality that favors the "secondary movements": people turned down in other countries in the European Union who turn to France to try their luck again.
The phenomenon accelerated in 2015, even becoming "exponential", according to the report, after the capture of Kabul by the Taliban in August 2021. In 2015, there were 2,200 initial asylum applications. In 2016, 6,000. In 2018, 9,500, and in 2023, 17,500. As a result, today, the Afghans are the leading nationality requesting asylum in France after the Ukrainians, benefiting from a system of exceptional request. There are yet more than 13,000 Afghans who filed a request in 2024.
Difficult integration
However, their number is not proportional to their degree of integration. The Afghans remain marginalized, primarily by a strong cultural divergence. According to a study by the Pew Research Center in 2013, cited in the report, 99% of Afghans declared themselves in favor of sharia, and 85% for stoning for adultery. Their weak educational level also constitutes a significant obstacle to integration and access to employment. More than 40% of those queried by Ofii stated they never received an education, in spite of 20 years of the "Islamic Republic" in Afghanistan under the influence and presence of the West.
This growing community in France is also noted for an overrepresentation in crime. In France, where ethnic statistics are prohibited, we know that foreigners represent 25% of convicted prisoners while they only make up 8.2% of the population. In Germany, Afghans make up 2.3% of those charged with violations, a rate 5 times higher than their demographic weight in the country. Sexual crimes are particularly concerning, reflecting "the difficulties of relations between women and men and the devaluation of women, a major cultural problem as we know in Afghanistan," the report emphasizes. For example, Afghans are 21 times more present than other nationalities in cases of sexual abuse of minors and are strongly implicated in violations connected to child pornography or violence.
Finally, the report underlines the underrepresentation of women in this Afghan immigration to France. "Almost invisible", they represent less than 20% of the exiles, a rate mostly due to the system of family reunification. The report urges an "analysis" of this phenomenon, at a time in which the Afghan (women), harshly repressed by the Taliban regime, now benefit from a collective right to political asylum. Their underrepresentation in the Afghan community, "cannot be explained solely by the difficulties of the migratory routes," Ofii believes.  "It is also a reflection of a deeply-rooted mentality  that remains ingrained in the men, even the refugees."

France: City Hall in St-Denis Raises Palestinian Flag

St Denis, November 2015
-Daily Mail

St-Denis is a municipality in the greater Paris area and is heavily populated by Muslims. It was the scene of a 7-hour shootout between French police and Islamic terrorists in November 2015. Today's Le Figaro is reporting that the St-Denis City Hall has decided to raise the Palestinian flag on its facade and is also urging its constituents to participate in a Paris demonstration against Israel organized by a coalition of unions.

The below article from Le Figaro is translated by Fousesquawk.

Saint-Denis City Hall raises the Palestinian flag on the facade and calls for a demonstration in Paris

By Solene Vary

The municipal team calls on its residents to mobilize on Saturday on the occasion of the Paris demonstration organized by the inter-union to denounce "the deadly headlong rush by the Israeli authorities".

The St-Denis City Hall is reiterating its support for the Palestinian cause. After recent votes by the municipal council on two resolutions, one for a cease-fire in Gaza, the other for the recognition of a Palestinian state by France, socialist councilor Mathieu Hanotin, "reaffirms its attachment to human rights, peace, and justice,". He has thus decided to raise the Palestinian flag on Friday, June 13 on the front of City Hall.

In a press release, the municipality justifies its symbolic initiative by describing the chaotic situation in Gaza. "Nothing justifies preventing civilians from accessing health care or food," it reads. The text also denounces "the Israeli military offensive," which, "combined with the total siege on the Gaza Strip," has caused, "the massive destruction of infrastructure, the paralysis of hospitals, and the deaths of tens of thousands of people".

Demonstration called for by the interunion organization

This action is aimed at supporting the international mobilization, but particularly, the Paris demonstration, scheduled this Saturday afternoon at Place de la Republique. Several unions (CFDT, CGT, UNSA, Solidaire, and FSU) called for a gathering the middle of this week to "denounce the headlong rush of the Israeli authorities and abuses committed in Gaza." Among their persistent demands: "An immediate cease-fire in Gaza and unhindered access to humanitarian aid". The St Denis City Hall is urging its constituents to participate in this moment "of fraternity."

UC Irvine on the Alert for ICE Presence

"I smell ICE."

Irvine (California)  City Council member Kathleen Treseder has reportedly announced that she has learned that ICE is planning enforcement actions in Irvine this evening and has warned undocumented residents to stay home. This is being reported by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Treseder is also a professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at UC Irvine

In addition, I have been informed that some UC Irvine faculty are organizing faculty volunteers to coordinate with event organizers and legal observers to monitor the Nuestra Graduacion celebration this evening at UC Irvine for any ICE presence. Messages have gone out citing Treseder's statement.

Portugal: Plot Exposed to Poison Israelis at Music Festival

"Free free Palestine"

If you still think the supporters of Hamas represent a just cause, consider this latest diabolical plan from the "Free Palestine" crowd. There is a music festival scheduled in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal in July, and it seems the festival is popular with Israeli Defense Forces reservists and veterans. So now, there is allegedly a dastardly plot to poison the IDF reservists at the festival. The plan was divulged by a Jewish woman who had access to their communications on Whatsapp.

The Jewish news site, Algemeiner, reports that the group involved is leftist and their chat room was entitled, "Left Wing Argument".

The article below in Correio da Manhã (Portugal) is translated by Fousesquawk.

Group of activists planned to poison Israelis during Boom Festival in Portugal

It was a Jewish woman who reported the plan.

A Group of activists planned to poison Israelis during the Boom Festival in Portugal It was a Jewish woman who reported the plan to KAN News.

Sarah (fictitious name) explained that the idea of the group was to infiltrate themselves into the Boom Festival because many Israelis go there after completing their service in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces), states the Jerusalem Post.

KAN News has divulged screen shots that show messages from the group on WhatsApp where the group was planning the poisoning.

"They are all veteran boys and girls of the IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces). I was thinking of giving them a taste of their own medicine. Wake them and let them know that they are about to receive humanitarian advice to leave their tents, check that they are a safe distance, and then set fire to their tents. Tell them that I am the most moral arsonist in the world, and then give them a drop of strychnine to cheer them up," one of the messages can be read, cited by the Jerusalem Post.

Another member of the group wrote, "Oh, come on- Strychine in their acid isn't dismembering babies....after all, they are all former or actual members of the Israeli Occupation Forces....what's a little strychnine to people who tear babies to pieces while wearing their mother's underwear?"

Strychnine, mentioned in the message cited above, is a highly toxic substance used as rat poison, but, precisely due to its elevated toxicity, is banned in several countries, including Portugal.

Sarah says that she entered the group thanks to her work as an artist and thinks that they did not know she was Jewish.

The festival, which will again take place in July of this year, attracts many Israelis to Portugal. Many people who were at the Supernova Festival during the Hamas attack on October 7 had been to the Boom Festival.

Sarah said that she contacted the festival organization, but up to now, "nothing has been done in this respect."

Professorial "Advice" at Glendale Community College

-Campus Reform

Glendale, California (for all you UC Santa Cruz Community Studies and History of Consciousness majors) is a municipality a few miles outside of downtown Los Angeles. It seems that amid all the turmoil in LA this past week, an English professor at Glendale Community College (GCC) named Julie Gamberg has reportedly urged students to go downtown and participate in the protests, as well as "slow down and/or disrupt" the enforcement actions of ICE.

Campus Reform has the story. It features an X-posting by Sarah Fields.

As LAPD has stated over and over, protesting is fine. Rioting and law-breaking are not. To that, I will add that while protesting is fine, slowing down or disrupting the lawful actions of law enforcement are not. Seems to me that this activist professor is handing out bad advice to her students. If, God forbid, any of these students were injured or killed, imagine the lawsuits against GCC. In addition, if she is using a GCC server to communicate these messages to her students, that is not a legitimate use of GCC resources. It may not be illegal, per se, but the college would have every right to object.

But then, what can you expect when you hire professors with green hair?

Sweden: Greta Is Home

Greta Thunberg (file photo)

Sweden's ambassador to the world, Greta Thunberg, is back home after being plucked off a boat headed for Gaza by the Israeli navy and being deported back to Sweden. Apparently, she views the whole thing as a lark, according to her giggling responses to questions from a reporter about Hamas.

The article below from the conservative Swedish site, Samnytt, is translated by Fousesquawk. Among other things, it calls attention to two of Greta's shipmates.

Greta laughed at Hamas question

Posted at 16:16

Greta Thunberg is being noticed for having laughed at questions from Sweden's Radio whether people who are behind her boat trip to the Gaza Strip are connected to the terror group, Hamas.

On Tuesday evening, the extreme leftist activist, Greta Thunberg, landed at Arlanda Airport (Stockholm). This was after Israeli commandos boarded her boat, Madleen, on Monday in international waters, and Thunberg was then deported back to Sweden.

Laughs at questions

A reporter from State Radio uses the opportunity of Thunberg's arrival to ask her how she sees (the fact that) some of her fellow passengers express support for the two terror groups, Hamas and Hezbollah.

"I haven't heard about that or what these people have said," Thunberg answers and laughs.

She continues to laugh and giggle at the questions and is dismissive.

"Should I ask everyone what exactly they have said about everything?" she wonders.

Two persons

There are two people in particular tied to "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" who are noted for their views and positions.

One of them is Zahar Birawi, a "founding member" of Freedom Flotilla International Coalition, and arranger of the trip. Great Britain's Parliament describes Birawi as a person with connections to the terror group Hamas. In addition, he has been accused of being a Hamas agent.

The other is the Brazilian activist, Thiago Avila, who was on board Madleen together with Greta Thunberg and 10 other activists.

The 22-year-old Greta Thunberg and the 38-year-old Brazilian are seen together in several photos and video clips from the trip on board Madleen. In some of them, they are holding each other.

Attended Nasrallah's funeral

Thiago Avila is a radical anti-Israel activist. He claims, among other things, that it was Israel, not Hamas, who murdered most of the victims of the terror attack on October 7, 2023. Also, that "Zionists know this very well", but are keeping it secret from the public.

But perhaps the most conspicuous feature about Thiago Avila is that in February, he traveled to Lebanon to attend Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's funeral in Beirut.

The visit to Lebanon and his attendance at Nasrallah's funeral were something that Thiago Avila himself documented thoroughly. The 38-year-old uploaded several film clips of the trip, which his more than 800,000 Instagram followers were able to view.

Portland State University Professor: "I Am Hamas. We Are All Hamas."

Hat tip Campus Reform

Portland State University, May 2, 2024
-Portland Mercury

A Portland State University professor has been placed on administrative leave by the university after a video surfaced from an off-campus event in which she told an interviewer: "I am Hamas. We are all Hamas."

The video has been reported by the Willamette Week, and, in turn, by Campus Reform.

The president of the university, Ann Cudd, has issued a statement condemning the statement. She did not name the professor.

However, The Oregonian is reporting that the professor in question is Yasmeen Hanoosh, who teaches Arabic at PSU. The event reportedly occurred on June 2 at the Beaverton School District in a demonstration organized by the Democratic Socialists of America.

Someone needs to inform this learned professor that the US Government has long designated Hamas as a terror organization. She should also remember that Hamas not only committed unspeakable acts of slaughter and kidnapping against Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023, but their victims included several American citizens as well.

Just another example of what has taken over academia in the US-the very people who are teaching our children. Personally, I don't want Hamas having anything to do with the education of my children.

She has the right of free speech, but the university needs to realize that this incident has brought shame and dishonor to PSU. I hope they act accordingly.

Greta Thunberg's Excellent Adventure

News item: Greta Thunberg's "flotilla" to Gaza was intercepted by the Israeli navy this week, and Greta has been deported back to Sweden. Tune in next week for another exciting chapter in the life of the world's biggest brat.
