Hat tip Amcha Initiative
On February 11, I posted an article on a study by the Amcha Initiative alleging that faculty and departments at three University of California campuses, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz, had engaged in anti-Israel indoctrination, particularly following the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, which I consider a clear abuse of the universities' respective positions and resources. The resultant post-10-7 pro-Palestinian protests and encampments caused great disruption to the universities concerned and increased what was already a serious problem of campus anti-Semitism.
I am cross-posting an article in The Hill dated February 12, 2026, also reporting on that study.
It is bad enough when professors use their positions and their classrooms as political soapboxes, but even worse when entire academic departments do the same thing. A professor can claim he is only exercising his "academic freedom" as an individual, but when an entire department engages in political activism, it is much harder to claim they are not putting the imprimatur of the entire university on a controversial political position.
