Reports: Abu Obaida Killed in Israeli Airstrike

Times of Israel

Multiple sources around the world, including Israeli and Palestinian sources, are announcing today that Israel has killed Hamas spokesman, Hudayfa Samir Abdallah al-Kahlout- nom de guerre, Abu Obaida (alternative spelling Obeida), in a targeted air strike on an apartment building in Gaza City. It appears that his death is not 100% confirmed, but as stated above, multiple sources around the world are reporting his death.

In his last public utterances, Abu Obaida was threatening the lives of the remaining hostages in Gaza if Israel carried out its campaign to wipe out the final vestiges of Hamas in Gaza City.

I recall last year when the pro-Hamas mobs at UC Irvine were holding their encampment. I happened to be on campus and walked around the site, and I noticed Abu Obaida's name written in chalk on the sidewalk, which I took a photo of.

It appears from various reports that Abu Obaida was hiding in an apartment building with some of his cohorts. There are likely collateral deaths involved since Hamas always inserts itself and its terrorist operations within population centers. As always, if innocent lives were lost, that is regrettable, but I attribute the blame for that to Hamas

I imagine that the person who scrawled the terrorist's name at UC Irvine is in mourning today. Me? Not so much. Hopefully, the reports are true and this monster is dead.
