We have previously reported about Zulfiqar Khan, a Pakistani imam in Bologna who was deported last year due to his non-stop attacks against the West and his open support for Hamas. Well, he hasn't gone quietly. He is in the news again in Italy for his recent menacing sermon from Pakistan in which he attacked Italy and the conservative Lega party, including Matteo Salvini and European Parliament Deputy, Anna Maria Cisint, who as mayor of Monfalcone in northeastern Italy from 2016-2024, was frequently at odds with the local Muslim community, mostly consisting of Bangladeshis. In the video, Khan also attacked the Jews.
The article below from Il Tempo is translated by Fousesquawk. The article contains a video segment of Khan's sermon, which is in Urdu, but contains a few phrases in Italian, two of which are referring to Jews. In the video of Khan speaking in Urdu, at the 3:35-3:39 mark, he says, ".....the Jews can lie to the Christians"....... in Italian. At the 4:02 -4:05 mark, he says in Italian, "....the name of God is not profaned.....". At the 4:41-4:44 mark, he says in Italian, "....the Jews have to cheat the Christians....". I am unable to make out the context since it is in Urdu. At the 2:34-2:36 mark in the video, he says in Italian, " ....evil persons, evil persons"......, preceded by a reference to "radicalized-fundamentalists" in Italian. Again, there is no translation of the Urdu, so I cannot make out the context (though I can guess).
We are in the process of providing English subtitles for the Italian parts of the sermon.
Islam, shocking video of Bologna imam. "Satanic Lega and threats to Cisint
-Giulia Sorrentino
The imam of Bologna, expelled on grounds of national security and for his open support of jihad and Hamas, Zulfiqar Khan, doesn't stop attacking the representatives of the Lega (political party) and European Parliament Deputy, Anna Maria Cisint, who he called "satanic", accusing them of being enemies of Islam and threatening: "We have not forgotten Monfalcone". Responding is Cisint who emphasizes how "the violent attack against me, my party, and the Federal Secretary, Matteo Salvini, by the imam, who, among other things, makes even more clear the words spoken by his follower, Omar Mamdouh, (and) tells us we are on the right side of history".
The imam's speech, which is opened with an apparently ritual formula, quickly is transformed into an ideological and personal attack that leaves little doubt as to his true intentions: to frighten, intimidate, to strike. Today, his successor at the helm of the IQRRA Mosque in Bologna, Mamdouh, is, in fact, continuing to stir controversy by way of his attacks on our roots, on our culture, and he tells of a vision of women that is incompatible with Western values. And that is why Cisint is asking that there be "immediate and resolute action. We need strong countermeasures, now, before the fundamentalist vision promoted by Khan and by those who think like him takes root elsewhere, in other mosques in Italy and Europe. Before the words of hate translate into concrete action. Before the radicalization already in progress in our country accelerates and becomes what the recent French report denounces as a real attempt at subversion of democracy. We will not take one step back."
Some passages from the sermon
"The Koran knows how to give the answers, read it, when you read it, you will find the response. Today, there is a woman, Anna Maria Cisint, and we know what happened at Monfalcone, what she did. These people, those belonging to the Lega party, are not honest, not with their own country, nor with their own religion. Their leader, Salvini, the other day, went and shook the hand of Netanyahu, saying, 'He is a friend of Italy'. But the ex-premier, Conte, said, 'He is not a friend of Italy; he is your friend.'"
"And this Anna Maria Cisint has recently posted videos and has said something against the fundamentalist Muslims. We have already responded in Italian to deliver the message. And now we are giving this message also to you, so that you can speak and find the way to respond. When she uses words like 'radical fundamentalists', we have to say that not all the radicals or fundamentalists are evil; some are also good. But those from Lega, yes, those are evil persons. There is something satanic in them. Why do they go and shake the hand of one who represents evil and say that he is their friend (and) embrace him?"
"These people are ignorant; they have no education. The same words that I am saying in Urdu, I have also said them in Italian-it is not that I am hiding something. The same words: They are ignorant people. And this Anna Maria (Cisint); this poor woman, who knows if she has ever opened the Koran, Let alone read it-who knows if she has ever even touched it. And she talks about shariah, but doesn't even know what shariah means. And the Bible? When was the last time she touched it, let alone read it?"
