On Wednesday night/early Thursday morning, 13 cars were spray-painted with messages insulting France and the French people. The incident happened at Orcières-Merlette in the Hautes-Alpes (French Alps) region of France.
While this is certainly not a major incident in the overall scheme of things, it should be noted that France has a serious problem on its hands with terrorist attacks, crime, vandalism of churches, and murders and rapes at the hands of mostly young males who are not French.
We have just reported this week on the fatal stabbing of a Portuguese man in Mulhouse at the hands of an Algerian illegal migrant who was under a deportation order. (Algeria refused to accept him.)
In addition), every New Year's Eve, all over France, these same young people take to the streets and set fire to thousands of cars. It has become a sort of tradition. Again, these miscreants are mostly not French. (Admittedly, many are born in France to immigrant families from former French colonies, such as Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia). An added factor is the unrest throughout so many Muslim populations, not just in their own countries, but in their diaspora as well. France-and other Western European countries have a huge problem on their hands with disaffected immigrant youth, many of whom are also developing extremist Islamist attitudes. It is obvious that they don't like France and they don't like the French people.
It appears in the car tagging case described below, the miscreants have escaped. Hopefully, the cops will track them down.
