Belgium: Two Shooters Fire into Street with Kalashnikovs: No Injuries

Today in Brussels, two masked men, armed with Kalashnikov rifles, walked out of a metro station and opened fire on the street. Nobody was hit, and the shooters fled through the metro station. The incident was captured on video. Photos of the men are also available, and in one of them, you can see his face. The below photo is from the Spanish daily, El Mundo. Incredibly, the Belgian daily, Nieuwsblad, blurred his face out.

We hope to get a translated article from the Belgian media either in French or Dutch, sometime today.

*Update: The below article from Het Laatse Nieuws is (partially) translated by Fousesquawk from Dutch. The remainder of the article is under a subscriber block.

Anderlecht again under pressure: "People are selling their homes out of fear"
" You see syringes and knives everywhere on the street. This has become a no man's land, and drug dealers do what they want." The neighborhood around the Clemenceau Metro Station in Anderlecht is in shock after 2 heavily armed men opened fire and fled into the metro tunnels Wednesday morning. For the time being, there is still no trace of the suspects. Residents in the area fear for their safety and link the incident to the escalating drug problem that has plagued the area for years. "The real people responsible remain untouched," says Mayor Fabrice Cumps.
