Federal Suit Filed Against Mosque Project in Michigan

A federal lawsuit has been filed against the construction of a mosque in Sterling Ht., Michigan. The suit argues that the public meetings which preceded approval of the mosque were a sham and a violation of the rights of the largely Chaldean Christian community.

One of the lawyers involved in the case is Karen Lugo, a friend and colleague of mine in related matters though I have never been involved in mosque-building issues. Karen has just published a book called Mosques in America, in which she covers legal challenges against mosque construction. Karen makes mention of Fousesquawk in the book, for which I am grateful.
