-Frankfurter Allgemeine

Today, a truck plowed into a crowded Christmas market in front of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin. At this point, 9 are confirmed dead and over 50 injured. That number is sure to rise. The driver reportedly escaped and was reported on the run. The below CNN report says that he has been captured. Police believe this was an intentional act of terror.

According to The Mirror, police have confirmed an arrest and that a second person inside the cabin of the truck was killed.

This, of course, is reminiscent to the Bastille Day truck attack in Nice. Just days ago, French police arrested 7 suspected jihadists who they say were planning a similar attack at Christmas markets.
