UC Berkeley Suspends Anti-Israel Course

A big hat tip and thank you to AMCHA Initiative

In response to a letter from 43 organizations protesting the offering of a course bashing Israel and taught by a student from the Students for Justice in Palestine, UC Berkeley has announced that it has suspended the course "pending further review". Below is from my friends at the AMCHA Initiative

It is important that we continue to insist that UCB adhere to the UC Regents' policy on course content, which forbids biased instruction in the classroom. That policy must be kept in mind in their review process of this course. I will be writing to Chancellor Dirks, and I hope you do as well.

Finally, this suspension represents an embarrassment to UCB Professor Hatem Bazian, who sponsored the course. His agenda of demonizing Israel on campus(es) should be rejected at every turn.
