Interview of Steve Emerson

Hat tip Investigative Project on Terrorism

I am cross-posting the transcript of an interview of Steven Emerson on the Mike Siegel Show. The topic was the visit of President Obama to a mosque in Baltimore last week. It spread out into other areas pertaining to Islamic extremism in the US.

What peaked my interest were the references to ex-Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca and Michael Downing of the LAPD. I had a chance to hear both of them speak during a town hall at the Islamic Center of Orange County in February 2012. The event was dedicated to the idea that sharia law was compatible with US law and the Constitution. I also had a chance to speak one on one with Downing after the event. When I informed him that this same mosque and its imam, Muzammil Siddiqi. had hosted convicted terrorist Omar Abdel Rahman ( Blind Sheikh) in the 1990s, Downing's response was, "Well, Gary, you some people change over time." Both of these men, in my view, are apologists for Islamism in the US.
