Disgraced former IRS official Lois Lerner is now documented on emails as having blasted the Republicans as "dishonest" among other things.

To be fair, we can debate the honesty of Republican politicians till the last dog dies. I am not here to defend Republicans. However, I find it ironic that a woman who took the 5th amendment before Congress (twice) has the gall to question anyone's honesty. Before Ms Lerner starts attacking the honesty of others, maybe she should produce all those emails of hers that mysteriously disappeared.

In addition, her highly partisan language as revealed in these emails lends more credence to the charge that she was actively involved in using her office to target conservative groups.

Taking the 5th Amendment is not a lie. It deceives nobody. It doesn't necessarily mean guilt either. And it is one of the sacred rights bequeathed to us by the Framers, the Founding Fathers, which any conservative, certainly any Originalist, should hold more dear than life, liberty, and sacred honor.

(And the way to tell if a Republican is lying is a stale old truism... their lips are moving.)

When you are younger and apparently have no heart, you must be a conservative/Republican. When you are older and apparently have no brain, you must be a liberal/Democrat/progressive/socialist.

You can play with that set of cliches all you want elwood, they're still tired old cliches. For the record, I've gone from being a rather heedless radical socialist in my youth to being a sober serious somewhat conservative socialist in my old age.

Any staler than how to tell when a Republican is lying?? Naw, didn't think so.

Who said otherwise? When I use a cliche, I call it a cliche. :)

Certainly you knew that I intentionally responded to your cliché with another one. Why, I know at least two Democrats who have a brain. Maybe three.

I'm beginning to wonder about that.
