It Had to Happen: Dopiest Oscar Acceptance Speech

I have no idea who Patricia Arquette is, but then again, I don't get to too many movies. Anyway, somebody named Patricia Arquette won the best supporting actress Oscar for some movie I didn't see and said this:

“To my heroes, volunteers and experts who have helped me bring ecological sanitation to the developing world with Givelove.org. To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody’s equal rights. It is our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America.”

Thank God she didn't list them all by name.

The clueless of Hollywood, who want an invite to the White House will put forth such crap. Of course, this is Hollyweird and its followers.
For Ms. Arquette, a review of the laws governing equal employment rights, both public and private employers know that they would be hauled into court if a woman was paid less for performing the same tasks as a man at a work site. Obviously, Arquette needs to review the books.
