George Galloway Gets His Butt Kicked

Hat tip College Insurrection

British comedian and prize fighter George Galloway being led back to his corner after a first round knockout

I preface this post by stating for the record that I would never condone violence.

Not even against the British banty rooster, George Galloway.

But it seems that George, who likes to brag about having been a boxer in his youth, met his match the other day.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2014/08/virulently-anti-israel-george-galloway-attacked/

Of course, I recall the night in 2009 when Galloway spoke at UC Irvine and called me a liar. Prior to that he warned anyone in the audience that if they wanted trouble, he was an amateur boxer, had hundreds of friends in the audience, and that it was a long way to the door, whatever that meant.

Maybe I should send George a get-well card.

After the Gaza Fighting-Get Ready for Fall Quarter on College Campuses

Hat tip Campus Watch and JNS News

In the wake of the Israel-Hamas fighting, fall session is about to open on US college campuses, and with it, more anti-Israel/anti-Jewish activism.

http://www.jns.org/latest-articles/2014/8/29/after-gaza-conflict-preparing-for-a-potentially-stormy-year-for-israel-on-campus#.VAFPqWRdX7U=

It is great that various Jewish organizations are attempting to help Jewish students deal with the wave of Jew-hatred that is becoming commonplace on college campuses. I think something more is needed. We need these organizations to hold seminars on anti-Semitism in order to educate the vast majority of students who may not even realize what is happening. So many are not informed enough to understand that all this commotion over Israel is founded on hatred and non-acceptance of Jews-certainly a refusal of the Arab world to accept a tiny Jewish state in its midst.

Unfortunately, too many mainstream Jewish organizations are unwilling to stand up and fight this problem for fears they will make matters worse or dissuade Jewish students from attending local universities that they service. UC Irvine, whose own photos are featured in this article, is a case in point. I have said over and over again that 99% of UCI students are not involved in this ugliness, but they also need to be informed of what is happening.

This coming September 23 has been designated by Hatem Bazian, a Palestinian garbage peddler at UC Berkeley, as an  international day of fighting against Israel or some such rot. It will be an excuse for his junior bullies from the Students For Justice in Palestine and other knuckleheads to act out on college campuses. How many Jewish students will be assaulted, insulted, served "eviction notices" or otherwise intimidated on campus while cowardly administrators turn a blind eye?

It is time to stand up and fight, not by violence, but by educating all students as to what this is really about and suing universities that fail to protect their Jewish students.

Ted Cruz on ISIS: Bomb Them Back to Stone Age

I like Ted Cruz. Here is his prescription for dealing with ISIS:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/08/31/cruz-fires-up-conservatives-says-bomb-islamic-state-back-to-stone-age/

I will drink to that. On second thought, that would be a promotion for ISIS.

In my view, every civilized nation should join in this. We can go by alphabetical order. Australia can bomb them the first day, Austria, the second, Belgium the third....

These savages need to be killed.

ISIS and Compulsion in Religion

Hat tip Answering Muslims

Recently, ISIS released a video showing dozens of Yazidi men "converting" to Islam. David Wood of Answering Muslims has produced his own video showing an excerpt of that "conversion". I use quotation marks here because there was a caveat to that "conversion". It was compelled. Either the men "convert" to Islam, or they would have been executed, probably by beheading.

But wait! Isn't there a verse in the Koran saying, "Let there be no compulsion in religion"? There is. I hear it all the time when I listen to apologists like Muzammil Siddiqi speak to non-Muslims.  It is in Sura 2 verse 256. Alas, that was apparently abrogated by later verses, such as in Sura 9 (the final sura). Then there are the recorded sayings of the Prophet, which stand in stark contrast to Sura 2 verse 256 as Wood explains.

Too bad that these are not simply dusty old words from fourteen hundred years ago that nobody pays any attention to. They are real, and they are being acted on virtually every day. They not only impact the daily lives of Muslims; they also impact the daily lives of non-Muslims who are unfortunately enough to live in Muslim countries. We need to ensure that they do not impact our lives in the West.

"The Spoils of War"

The latest of the horrific outrages of ISIS is the capture in Iraq and selling of some 300 Yazidi women as "slaves of the spoils of war" to ISIS fighters in Syria for their sexual enjoyment.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/30/world/meast/isis-iraq-syria/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

"In ISIS' eyes, the girls and women are "slaves of the spoils of war with the infidels,"

You might ask yourself, "What religion takes women as sexual slaves as "spoils of war".

Please turn to Sura 8 of your Koran.

This was one of the so-called Medina suras (chapters) written during the period when Mohammed was in Medina and was spreading Islam through warfare. It is full of verses damning the disbelievers. For example, in verse 12, it says, "(Remember when) your Lord revealed (the message) to the angels: 'Verily, I am with you: Give strength to the believers: I will bring about terror into the hearts of the disbelievers: So you strike above their necks and hit hard over all of their finger-tips and toes."

Here is verse 69 from Sura 8.:*

"But (now) enjoy what you have as booty in the war, (as far as it is) lawful and good: But fear Allah: Certainly, Allah is Often Forgiving, Most Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Then there is Sura 4 (Medina period) verse 24, which reads in part, "Also forbidden are women who are married, except those whom your right hand possesses (as war captives)."

It should also be noted that the suras have titles. The title of sura 4 is, "The Women".

The title of Sura 8 is, "The Spoils of War".

* The English-language Koran I am using as reference is a translation by Professor (Dr.) Syed Viktar Ahamed

I was given this copy during a visit to the Islamic Center of Orange County in Garden Grove. It was handed out free to all visitors during Open House Day.

Harry Reid's Name Removed from Alma Mater

Hat tip Daily Caller

Harry Reid may be forgotten at Southern Utah University, but his name still lives in Tonopah, Nevada (above).

"Apparently torn between his desire for financial support from alumni and his desire for theoretical donations from Reid and his friends, Wyatt decided to remove his name from the Outdoor Center, but attach it to a new building — the Harry Reid Center."

Bring Back the St Louis Browns

Hat tip Campus Reform

"Who's on first?"
"Michael Brown."

We still don't know the facts of the Michael Brown shooting, but won't stop local academia in St Louis from declaring their own "truth" as they change their coursework to address the incident.

 http://www.campusreform.org/?ID=5860

Isom plans to explore the question of whether people would feel more confident in America’s justice system if all citizens could review use-of-force cases.
“That way, when an incident happens, the response is something the community has agreed is appropriate,” says Isom.
Yes! And we can have Malik Zulu Shabazz leading the New Black Panther Party in chants of,

"What do we want?"

"Darren Wilson!"

"How do we want him?"

"Dead!"

It wouldn't surprise me if these learned professors started a petition to change the name of the St Louis Cardinals to the St Louis Browns. Ridiculous, you say?

Believe it or not, there once was a St Louis Browns in the American League. In 1953, they moved to Baltimore and became the Orioles. The little guy in the pictures is Eddie Gaedel, a midgit who actually was signed to appear in one at-bat as a publicity gimmick. (I think he later became a cop.) The Browns also had a one-armed outfielder named Pete Gray in the 1940s during World War II. ( I think he later became a cop too. They say he was pretty handy with a nightstick.)

But I digress.

A Perfect Storm in Syria?

"Who's winning?"

According to this report, the Syrian civil war has turned into something resembling a figure 8 stock car race, with ISIS, Al Nusra, the Syrian Army, the Iranians, Hizbollah, and the Oakland Raiders all fighting each other!

"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful, ah"

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/29/fighting-in-syria-spawns-separate-civil-war-in-global-jihadist-movement/

This could be the answer to all our prayers. Seems to me the best policy in Syria is to provide refuge for the Christians and let these mopes kill each other off.

Journalist Trying to Get Michael Brown's Records Released

Ferguson police shooting takes a new turn

Charles C. Johnson, an independent journalist, a former contributor to PJ Media  and editor of Got News,  has filed a suit in St Louis to have Michael Brown's juvenile records released based on the fact that he is deceased. There will be a court hearing on the matter next week in St Louis. Johnson is trying to confirm whether Brown was implicated in a murder case as a juvenile. Thus far, authorities have refused to released Brown's records, however Johnson maintains that under Missouri law, there is no legal basis for withholding the records of a deceased person.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3198471/posts

Johnson was interviewed today on the Larry Elder radio show.

Here is another interesting consideration though purely speculative at this point. If Brown was, in fact, involved in a homicide case, and it was local, would it not be likely that Officer Darren Wilson was aware of that fact when he confronted Brown given the fact that Ferguson is a small community?

Stay tuned.

Secure the Border? Nah

Item: The Texas Dept. of Public Safety is reporting intelligence that ISIS wants to send operatives across the Mexican border into the US.

Item: A laptop recovered from a dead ISIS fighter talks about use of biological weapons.

Item: The British government has put their country on high alert for a terror attack. Meanwhile, Jeh Johnson, head of DHS says the US is not under an increased alert.

The newspaper Il Tempo in Italy is reporting that ISIS has the Pope in its sights.

Item: Rumors are rife that President Obama will use his executive powers to go around Congress and pass an amnesty measure real soon.

Question: Do you think that maybe-just maybe- it might be a good idea to secure our borders?

"Nah."

I'm sure there must be a reasonable explanation.

Hold the Presses! Hillary Speaks Out on Ferguson

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

The last word about Ferguson can't be said until Her Nibs, Hillary Rodham Clinton, has had her say. And now she has shed light on a painful issue that only she, as president of the United States can fix.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/dgreenfield/hillary-clinton-speaks-on-ferguson-says-inequality-a-bunch-of-times/

“We can do better. We cannot ignore the inequalities that exist in our justice system, inequalities that undermine our most deeply held values of fairness and equality,”
“We can do better. We can work to rebuild the bonds of trust from the ground up,” Clinton said, adopting a careful, general tone that avoided casting blame on anyone.
“This is what happens when the bonds of trust and respect that hold any community together fray,” Clinton said.

FBI Terror Threat Assessment: No Mention of Islamic Terrorism

Hat tip John Speedie for audio

I wouldn't believe it if I had not seen it. The FBI's annual threat assessment makes no mention of Islamic terrorism.

No mention.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/08/29/fbi-national-domestic-threat-assessment-omits-islamist-terrorism/#

This is akin to me turning in a  report to DEA hqs on the international drug scene and not even mentioning heroin or Mexico. I mean whoever turned this report in for approval should be fired. There is no way this report could have passed muster and approval all the way up the line of supervisors to the director himself. It just isn't possible.

Unless....

Unless there was a direction to omit this from the higher ups in the Justice Department or White House.

MPAC News Conference August 28, 2014

Below is a video of the news conference held by the Muslim Public Affairs Council yesterday to announce their Safe Spaces initiative, which was described by MPAC President Salam al Marayati (sort of). In my view, it is long on generalities and short on specifics. Also speaking were Muzammil Siddiqi, head imam of the Orange County Islamic Center, Michael Downing of LAPD, Roberta Abner of LASD, and Maryum Ali (daughter of Mohammed Ali).

http://www.veooz.com/videos/ZHS7yuI.html

It all sounds nice, but I don't see any specifics here. It sounds to me like MPAC is saying, "Let us take care of the problem, and if we can't turn people around who look like they are thinking of joining the jihad, then we'll call in law enforcement." He also said that law enforcement has to consider the community as a partner rather than a suspect-that they can't have it both ways. If they do surveillance in the community, they are treating the community as a suspect, according to Marayati. He also said that houses of worship should be sanctuaries. I disagree. Not when we have so many subversive and hateful sermons coming out of so many mosques in the US.

As for Siddiqi, someone needs to give him a training course on how to spot suspects. Two terrorists have come out of his mosque, Adam Gadahn and Sinh Vinh Ngo Nguyen. Siddiqi also failed to "eject" the blind sheikh, Omar Abdel Rahman, in 1992 when he came to Siddiqi's mosque and gave a sermon on violent jihad, which Siddiqi translated in real time. As for Downing, when I related that little tidbit to him in 2012 during a town hall on sharia at Siddiq's mosque, his response was, "Well Gary. Some people change over time."

I should also note that both Siddiqi and Marayati have refused to sign the Freedom Letter by Former Muslims United asking for a simple statement that apostates from Islam in the US not be harmed. At least Siddiqi condemned the treatment of religious minorities and forced conversions, which he said is condemned by Islamic scholars. I am not so sure I agree with that last statement.

Let us also pick apart Siddiei's claim that Islam stands against acts of terror directed against "innocent life" and civilians. That kind of leaves the door open a bit, does it not? What is his definition of innocent and civilians? He also warned of "provocateurs' (informants?)

And if Siddiqi is truly a moderate, why does the book store at his mosque feature works by Yusuf al Qaradawi and Maulana Abul Ala Maududi and his wife?

I also took note of Abner's reference to a recent conference at the Federal law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC-in Brunswick, Ga) which included MPAC. She also referenced the establishment by DOJ of a pilot program in LA, Boston and Minneapolis. (All three of the Americans reported killed recently while fighting for ISIS came from Minnesota, where there is a heavy Somali population. Had it not been for a misguided refugee program that brought some 80,000 Somalis to the US, we would not have that problem.)

I also got  a chuckle out of Downing's reference to all the success LAPD has had with gangs by working with the community. LA is a "sanctuary city", and illegal alien gang members benefit from that policy.

In summary, this is just more propaganda brought to us by manipulators like Marayati and Siddiqi and abetted by useful idiots like Michael Downing.

Obama on ISIS: "We Don't Have a Strategy Yet"

"What? Me have a strategy?"

Don't take my word for it. He said it himself.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/08/28/obama-to-speak-ahead-national-security-meeting/

ISIS: No strategy. Ukraine? No strategy. Was that the weakest press conference you have ever seen a president give or what? The world is burning, and this president, who has just come back from two weeks vacation in Martha's Vineyard, and who is now off to Rhode Island for another fundraiser, says he has no strategy to deal with anything. What an amazing admission of fecklessness. This was like Neville Chamberlain saying, "I am holding here in my hand a scrap of paper not worth the paper it's printed on."

One is tempted to say, "Well, Mr President, you'd better come up with one soon", but let's face it. Obama is going to let all this happen because he is sympathetic to the Islamists no matter how savage they are.

"We don't have a strategy yet."
