Dartmouth (Big Green) Mascot
The Tin Man, I presume
Martin Luther King would be spinning in his grave if he knew how he was honored at Dartmouth College recently. Apparently, anyone identified as a conservative (and not Democrats) was not allowed to enter the public room where the MLK event was held featuring TV newsman John Quinones (who must have been embarrassed himself). In addition, the event turned into one of those "end white privilege" exercises that are so in on college campuses there days. Not that any real discrimination goes on against minority students, but there must still be the perception that white students enjoy some sort of "privilege" whatever that means at the expense of non-white students ( I believe "Students of Color" is the in term these days.) Considering Dartmouth's nickname is The Big Green, I expect that will soon be protested (Green privilege, you know)

Here's a novel idea: How about all the students enjoying the fact that they are there at Dartmouth getting a college education and just getting along together without regard to their color? After all, this is not 1955. This is 2014. Why are we so busy separating people into white and people of color blocs? This should be the responsibility of the university administration. "Everybody here is equal. Period. Now hit the books."
