Syrian Christians and the Silence

In the below article, Lela Gilbert asks: Who will help the Syrian Christians?

Sadly, the answer appears not to be President Obama or Secretary of State John Kerry. It is the very people they want us to support who are killing the Christians and destroying their churches.

So do you want President Obama to send in the marines or don't you? You can't have it both ways!

No, but I want him and his dopey secstate to speak out publicly and use whatever influence they have (probably none) to defend the Christians. These are refugees that we should legitimately offer refuge to.

Speaking out publicly when you have no influence is called powerless posturing. Sensible people who understand the nature of power only open their mouths when they can back up their words with action. Nobody in America, right, left, or center, wants to exercise any real power America may have in Syria, on behalf of anyone -- for reasons you have pointed out rather thoroughly.

Further, if the President did speak, I would certainly hope it was not along the lines of "Its a shame that Christians are being killed, its OK for everyone else in Syria to die, but not Christians."
