Barghouti and Butler at Brooklyn College-Were Jews Excluded?

Hat tip Gatestone Institute

Alan Dershowitz, writing for the Gatestone Institute, is quoting reports that Jewish and pro-Israel students were excluded and/or kicked out of the much-ballyhooed speaking event by Omar Barghouti and Judith Butler at Brooklyn College last week.

One can only wonder what the repercussions will be for Students for Justice in Palestine and the Political Science Dept, which helped sponsor the event. Probably none. If the allegations are true, hopefully there will be a lawsuit.

This is what happens with the Students for Justice in Palestine. You can't let them get away with it.

Not directly related but have you seen this petition? Is it legal to use the UC emblem like this?

People can sign the petition or not. It is fine with me if they want to make a petition but am kind of surprised it would be legal to use the UC emblem like this.

I don't know the facts of this incident.

If the students were passing out papers during the talk, they should have been given a warning not to do it. If they continued and then were kicked out, I don't have a problem with that.

If they were kicked out for simply holding the papers and were not distributing them and not waving them in a way to distract from the lecture during the lecture, it is a different story.

Dershowitz is a lawyer. He knows what to do.
