Harvard- A "Deeply Troubled" University

“we are deeply troubled that we offended anybody by doing this buffet item, particularly considering that our reason for doing the international buffet each day is to celebrate cultural diversity.”

It seems that Harvard University has greatly offended its Arab students. How? By offering Middle Eastern dishes in a dining facility and labeling them as "Israeli",

Horrors!

We’ve been following the comments and the [Facebook] posts,” Kenny continued, which have “prompted us to have some extensive conversations here internally... to understand how this happened and to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.”

Here is my advice to the Crimson-faced Mr. Kenny:

"Get a pair!"

Instead, this weenie will probably send a letter to the campus paper with a full apology for offending the sensibilities of Harvard's Arab students. Arab dishes -especially Palestinian delicacies- will be on the menu for the remainder of the year and Harvard will double the size of its Middle Eastern Studies department just to make it up to the Arab students. In fact, I think a little sensitivity training is coming  for Kenny.

This is beyond sickening. So some Lebanese student doesn't like seeing any reference to Israel on an American college campus. I suggest she attend any one of the fine Lebanese universities in Beirut and dine on Hezbollah kabobs.

To atone, I guess Harvard should waive tuition/fees for all Arab students for the next 10 years or so, and double or triple them for non-Arabs, particularly Israelis.

My main concern would be whether the food was barely edible, average, or very tasty.

One of the few things Hamas and Israel agree on is that hummus is nutritious food. I wonder why?

A lot of food dishes could be listed as Arab-Greek-Israeli-Turkish. Then let all the nationalistic snobs moan and groan.
