More on Anti-Semitism in The Netherlands

Hat tip to The Examiner.com

My reader, Lance, is skeptical about my recent articles about anti-Semitism in The Netherlands and the rest of Europe. He wants statistics, you know, empirical evidence. He is not interested in anecdotal evidence. So here I go again. Here is an article from Europe News of Denmark, which features a story done by French television on the situation in The Netherlands. There is also a video.

Are all you University of California at Santa Cruz Community Studies majors still with me?

I know it is just another anecdote, but if you listen closely to the video report (in French with English sub-titles), there are some stats in there about how many Jews left The Netherlands in the past year and all that stuff.

I'm workin' hard for ya, Lance.

Gary, once again, I must point out that what I was questioning was Findalis' statement that Jews were "fleeing for their lives" from Europe.

I am not questioning anti-Semitism in Europe.

I am not questioning what's going on in Holland and The Netherlands.

I am questioning the notion that this represents a continent-wide trend that has Jews leaving Europe in record numbers.

That is all. I would appreciate it if you would stop putting words in my mouth and misrepresenting what I'm saying. It's bad enough when you do it in the comments section, it's really low-class of you to do it as your main post.

Seriously, if you were any kind of a man at all, you'd own up to this and apologize. You're accusing me of something pretty despicable.

Stop it, Lance.

You challenged our assertion demanding facts. Findalis quoted you the factual story of a young man kidnapped in France and tortuted to death. I did not use the phrase "fleeing for their lives." I have said and will
repeat, they are fleeing persecution in Europe at the hands of young Muslim immigrants who hate Jews while officials are afraid to step in and protect them from these outrages. If it doesn't stop soon, they will be fleeing for their lives in the not-so-distant future.

Gary, the whole thread is there for everyone to reread.

Please point out my exact quote where I indicated that I was "skeptical about my recent articles about anti-Semitism in The Netherlands and the rest of Europe."

You either can't read or you're lying about me. I would appreciate it if you stopped misrepresenting what I've said.

Lance,

It seems you wanted examples and stats from countries other than Sweden. We have given you info on Holland and Findalis told you about the young French Jew who was tortured to death. Yet, you are not convinced. What about the last Haaretz article I posted? It had stats.

Is this really so hard? Seriously? Do you not understand that:

1. Anti-Semitism is on the rise in Europe.

and

2. Jews are fleeing Europe "for their lives."

are two separate statements? That one can be true and the other might not be true?

I'm aware that the "fleeing for their lives" assertion was from Findalis, and not you. Still, you defended her and gave me links that had nothing to do with my question. Your links had to do with the rise of anti-Semitism, something that I neither refuted nor questioned in the first place.

Really? Is this really THAT complicated?

I have a serious question about this subject. If the Jews are fleeing the Netherlands and other European countries, and the violence against Jews in Germany committed by Islamists, not Germans, will increase, where is Germany going to stand? Germans don't easily take a stand against any other nationality, they are afraid to speak up because of their history. It will be interesting to watch.

This is the new internet news standard. It sees Joseph Goebbels and raises him. If you repeat a lie often enough, it will in fact become true, because people will act on the misunderstanding that it is true, with consequences that will create the situation originally envisioned.
