Hussam Ayloush, the Southern California CEO of CAIR, not surprisingly, is completely on the Palestinian side in this latest conflict, as he has been consistently through the years. I have been following his postings and re-postings on X (formerly Twitter). The most curious is this posting by Ayloush on October 7. It links an article by Al Jazeera stating that Hamas says it has enough Israeli "captives" to free all Palestinian prisoners.

The Al Jazeera article that Ayloush has linked not only refuses to use the more accurate term, hostages but describes those taken as Israeli soldiers. It does not mention that many taken are civilians, women, the elderly, and children. Nor does it say a word about those civilians slaughtered, often in their own homes. Nor does it mention the approximately 250 young people slaughtered who were attending a rave concert in southern Israel.
And why does Ayloush re-post this disgusting article? No doubt he will explain it away in the coming days as simply reporting a factual statement by the Hamas leaders without editorial comment. But is it a sign of Ayloush's approval of this disgusting taking of innocent civilian hostages, supposedly for the purpose of some kind of prisoner exchange? I have my opinions, but I will let the reader decide.
As for the Qatari-run Al Jazeera, they once again prove they are apologists for terrorism. For years now, they have posed as a credible international news organization. They even have an English-language branch stocked with Western commentators, writers, academics, and plain, everyday stooges who do their bidding by attacking Israel and the West. They are all beneath contempt.
