It has come to this. It seems in Italy, people now need to keep their pets locked up. A 23-year-old migrant from the Ivory Coast was caught cooking a cat on the sidewalk this morning near Livorno. The below article has a video which we are in the process of sub-titling. It is disturbing. What you see is the man cooking the cat on the sidewalk while he is being berated by an Italian woman.

Man who cooked a cat at Campiglia Marittima
According to what the mayor of Campiglia Marittima, Alberta Ticciati, wrote, the man has been identified but not arrested. Repubblica Firenze (Florence) writes that the young African man is 23 years of age and comes from the Ivory Coast and confirms that there has been no arrest because the laws do not apply.
Since this morning, a video has been circulating, posted by a Facebook user, in which is seen a man who is cooking or burning a cat at Campiglia-Marittima. According to the press agency, ANSA, the man killed the cat and started to cook it lighting a fire on the sidewalk near the city station (Livorno/Leghorn). And from what has been reconstructed by the Carabinieri, who interceded this morning after more notifications, and who have identified the perpetrator as a 21-year-old foreigner who will be reported for killing an animal. The young man was then accompanied to the (Carabinieri) station pending clarification of his status in Italy. At the moment, he does not appear to be listed as legal. The (Carabinieri) interceded this morning shortly after 7 in response to numerous calls from citizens.
He was an occupant at a reception center in the area of Livorno from which he left (or was kicked out-an aspect to be clarified) and now is listed without fixed abode. The young man has made an application for refugee status, but the request was rejected, and he presented an appeal: The proceeding now is at the Tribunal of Florence. There has been no arrest as Ceccardi writes (no violation is specified in article 544 bis of the penal code, explain the investigators), but (there is) a report with release.)
Article 544 bis of the penal code specifies that anyone who, out of cruelty or without necessity, causes the death of an animal is punished by incarceration of 4 months to two years. The episode has been posted on Facebook pages of Susanna Ceccardi and Matteo Salvini complete with video.
"A chilling episode in its brutality, but unfortunately all true," also writes Susanna Ceccardi. "I congratulate the Carabinieri who took the torturer into custody, now we ask for punishment as an example because in our civilization, the domestic animals are left alone and deserve the maximum humanity and respect for all the unconditional love they offer without asking for anything in return," concludes the candidate of the Lega in the next regional elections in Tuscany.
The story has been spread also by Matteo Salvini, who increased the dose: "An upsetting scene, cruel and monstrous this morning in Tuscany, near Livorno. They tell me that the delinquent would be arrested, I hope that will be confirmed. It merits jail, and, if he immigrated illegally, expulsion; we don't want to see him walking around again!"
Both talk of an arrest which, in reality, has not occurred.

Toxicity in Ann Arbor: Mozhgan Savabieasfahani
Toxic.
It seems that University of Michigan comedian Juan Cole is not the only plague on the community of Ann Arbor. I am cross-posting a very disturbing report from Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers about a woman named Mozhgan Savabieasfahani, who is running for the Ann Arbor city council. She is apparently a professor and a toxicologist. I'll say!
This woman (I'm not going to keep writing her last name), like Professor Cole, hates the state of Israel. Not only that, but she takes it to outrageous extremes, such as harassing Jews as they go in and out of their synagogue to worship.

Kudos to Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers for bringing this to our attention.
Iran Indicts President Trump: Juan Cole Takes it Seriously
Juan Cole (Profile)
Breaking!!!
"Ann Arbor (Informed Comment) – Mehr News Service reports that Tehran prosecutor Ali al-Qasi Mehr issued an arrest notice with Interpol on Monday for President Donald Trump and 35 other American officials. The request was for Interpol to issue a “red notice” for an act of murder and terrorism, to wit, the assassination on January 3 of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani at Baghdad International Airport. Soleimani headed the Jerusalem Brigade (external special ops.) of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, Iran’s national guard."
University of Michigan comedian Juan Cole, who generally takes the side of every bad actor in the Middle East, has sat up and taken serious notice of the fact that some Iranian prosecutor has issued something akin to an arrest warrant for President Trump over the killing of General Qasem Soleimani in Iraq. Interpol laughed it off, but not Professor Cole in Ann Arbor, America's academic nerve center.
https://www.juancole.com/2020/06/gander-interpol-soleimani.html
According to Cole, Soleimani was not a terrorist. He goes on to give us a short history of Soleimani's career, which leaves me confused as to whether he was General Patton or General Rommel, General Eisenhower or General Keitel.
And by the way, the prosecutor mentioned by Cole, Ali al Qasi Mehr, is hardly a non-entity. He has quite a record, as pointed out by the Gatestone Institute in this 2019 article.
"With so much blood on his hands, it is not surprising that Raisi, soon after his elevation to Chief Prosecutor, appointed none other than Ali Al-Qasi Mehr as the new Prosecutor of Tehran. Al-Qasi Mehr's own reputation is that of a hardliner who has long favoured public executions and amputations as a means of maintaining control in both capital and minor cases."
Cole concludes by asking why Interpol should summarily dismiss Iran's complaint against Trump. Cole's answer to his own question has nothing to do with Orwell's Animal Farm. The real reasons are that it is a frivolous complaint issued by the world's largest state supporter of international terrorism. Soleimani was an instrument of that terror. In fact, nothing coming out of Iran should be honored by Interpol because Iran is hardly a member in good standing of the world community. Ever since the 1979 revolution, Iran has sent its agents around the world to murder its political enemies. They respect nobody's sovereignty, so why should international arrest warrants be issued in their name?
If Cole wants to carry water for the mullahs in Iran, that is his right under free speech. However, as with most positions he takes, taking the side of this odious regime invites ridicule.
Anti-White Racism Is Racism. Period
This article first appeared in New English Review.
White couple defending their home from threatening protesters in St Louis
Several years ago when I was a part-time teacher at UC Irvine and became involved in activist issues on campus-mostly dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the anti-Semitism that was growing as a result- I became aware of two trends. First was that while Europe was teeming with Jew hatred brought upon by Muslim immigrants, the focal point for the surge in Jew hatred in the US was on our campuses. The second trend I noted was the growing use of the term, "white privilege". In other words, whites, no matter their inner feelings about race, were inherently privileged and were obligated to surrender that privilege. Terms like, "whiteness" became common on campuses and always used in a pejorative manner. Today, you hear university professors and their indoctrinated students openly talk about the need for the entire white race to disappear from this earth. Where have we heard that kind of rhetoric before?
There is a growing sentiment on the left that whites have nothing to offer to the discussion because of their privilege and their racism, and thus, they are obligated to remain silent while being lectured by "People of Color" (an obnoxious and inaccurate term if there ever was one). Indeed, everything about white, Euro, Western culture was to be denigrated and buried. Out with Shakespeare; in with Paolo Freire.
Over the past ten years, I would say, I have watched this growing demonization of whites on our campuses. Up until a few years ago, I would have told you that Jews were the most endangered people on campus. Now I would say it is whites in general, and Jews are considered to be extra-privileged whites (although Jews come in virtually all colors.)
One might hope that faculty and administrators would have seen the growing demonization of whites and worked to reverse it in favor of bringing students together regardless of their origin or skin color. Isn't that what we have been trying to do since the 1960s when I was coming of age (the Civil Rights Movement)? Well, sadly, the answer is no because faculty and administrators have actively encouraged this growing division while pushing the narrative that blacks and other minorities (including gays) are all victims of a racist society. In short, our universities are so far to the left, any hope that they would play a constructive role rather than a destructive one has to be considered naive. They are ignoring this growing problem just as they have ignored over 20 years the problem of anti-Semitism on their campuses.
So now we fast forward to today in the aftermath of the George Floyd killing in Minneapolis. Was it an outrage? Yes, it was, and our justice system is dealing with it as they should. As a retired law enforcement officer, I know personally that the tactic used on Mr Floyd was wrong. I have no quarrel with those who have protested peacefully demanding justice-which they are getting.
Unfortunately, anarchists of all colors have come together to wreak havoc in most every major city. While many protested, the anarchists rioted, specifically Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM). Looting, burning, and attacks against police and random attacks on whites have shocked the nation.
One would think that the riots and the murders would be condemned by all. Wrong. The media, the Democrats, the universities, and Hollywood have basically turned a blind eye, rationalized, or applauded.
Also lost is the fact that there was a virtual pogrom committed on May 30 against the Los Angeles Jewish community of Fairfax. Synagogues were vandalized, shops were attacked, and night-riders drove down the streets shouting, "F the Jews!" It was the classic case of what the academic left likes to call "intersectionality" which, loosely interpreted, links every problem in the world-including the suffering of American blacks- to Israel. What we have here is the anti-Semites and black nationalists coming together to attack whites and Jews, in the name of Black Lives Matter and the "oppressed" Palestinians. Intersectionality at work.
Now it is time for some truth to be told.
First of all, America is not a racist country. I have said many times that when I was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, America was racist, and it was systemic. In the South, racism and segregation had the force of law. Today, America is not racist. Two generations of white children have been brought up to believe that all people are equal. Whites who try to discriminate based on race do so at the risk of their reputation, their job, and their future. There are laws on the books to prevent discrimination. There is no white person who can stop any black person from achieving their dreams and being all they can be. Remember Martin Luther King's words, "Free at last....."? Black people in America are free. Nobody, no white boogeyman, no white cop, is standing in your way-unless you are breaking the law, in which case, that's on you.
It is an unfortunate reality that some people in the inner cities were left behind during the Civil Rights era, for a variety of reasons. So there is still poverty, crime, gangs, and drugs in the inner city. Perhaps, most devastatingly, the black nuclear family has been destroyed over the past decades. Out of wedlock births among blacks were about 25% during the darkest days of Jim Crow. Now, it is over 70% and the damage has been severe. Black conservatives like Larry Elder will say that this is the biggest problem facing black America, not white racism, which he ranks at or near the bottom of the list. With good intentions, then President Lyndon Johnson initiated a massive welfare program that served as a disincentive for women and their children to be in a two-parent household.
So here we are again. America must again consider reparations to today's generation of African-Americans, and we must have a "frank discussion" about race. To that I say we have been having this discussion since I was a teenager in the 1960s. The "discussion" that people like Al Sharpton want to have is just another long recitation of our dark history of slavery and segregation and why little has changed since the 1960s because, after all, white people are inherently racist. Frankly, after 75 years of living through all this, I am burned out.
The fact is that racial relations are, indeed, going backwards, and this constant demonization of white people in general is coming home to roost. Sadly, this will complete the vicious circle because more white people are becoming angry and resentful. They dislike being told they are "privileged". They dislike being told that they are racist just because of their white genes. They don't like seeing parts of entire cities being occupied by anarchist thugs (white and black). They don't like seeing police stations evacuated and sacked as cops retreat. The inevitable result will be the radicalization of more and more whites and the further division of our country. Fifty+ years of progress out the window.
And where are our leaders? In places where the Democrats are in charge, which is pretty much every big city, they are taking the ceremonial knee, reciting, "black lives matter", and de-funding the police or voting to abolish them as demanded by the mobs. The Republicans are doing nothing, and even Trump seems paralyzed, not knowing what to do. Many people are concluding-especially with police seemingly disappearing from the equation- that the only thing to do is stock up on guns and ammo.
In no way do I consider myself a white nationalist, and I view their growth with alarm, but it is now time- in the year 2020- to say that the time has passed where all the problems of blacks, whether we are talking about individuals who have experienced setbacks or failures in their lives, or black communities, like South Chicago, where people hunker down behind bars on their windows and doors at night, are to be blamed on the big white racist boogeyman.
When you hear some academic leftists, black or white, talk about the "violence being committed on black and brown bodies," it is time to point out that over 90% of black murder victims were murdered by other blacks (witness the on-going situation in Chicago). The time when white racists in the South were actually committing violence and murdering blacks has passed-notwithstanding the incident in Brunswick, Georgia, in which three white men have been charged with shooting to death a young black man they thought was trying to burglarize homes. Anecdotal cases will always exist, but they do not represent the norm.
Black Lives Matter doesn't care a whit about seeing seeing blacks gun each other down in South Chicago. They don't care a whit about the untold thousands of black babies aborted every year. When others point these things out because they do care, they are simply branded as "racists". The left, the BLM crowd, and the rioters only care when a black is killed by a white-ignoring the fact that white on black violence is minuscule compared to black on white violence, as we are witnessing today.
The nonsense that has been preached for years on our university campuses has spilled out into the society at large. Issues of "whiteness", connections between the Palestinian issue and that of blacks in America, and abolishing the police are now being discussed in the media, in city councils, and the halls of government. Those who are charged with protecting us are kneeling, literally and figuratively. The pro-Palestinian lobby, Islamists, the radical left, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter have come together at their mythical "intersection". The result is more hate, more violence.

Here They Come: A Day of Rage at Israeli Consulate
On Wednesday, July 1, the usual collection of Muslim activists and their Jewish flunkie allies will descend on the Israeli consulate in Los Angeles. They are calling it a "Day of Rage". Here is their poster on some dopey blog that has a depiction of Che Guevara on its face page.
Given the title of this event coupled with the current climate, I am hoping and praying there will be no violence. Unquestionably, the LAPD will be out in force.
https://www.struggle-la-lucha.org/2020/06/25/july-1-los-angeles-day-of-rage-no-to-annexation-of-palestinian-land/
"We also call on those who support the Palestinian struggle to uplift the Movement for Black Lives here as the best way to express true international solidarity. Palestinian liberation cannot be achieved without Black and Indigenous liberation, without the liberation of all oppressed peoples."
Blah blah blah, woof woof woof, quack quack quack.
This, of course, is an example of the mythical concept of intersectionality that was invented by academic leftists to connect the plight of African-Americans (and every other problem) with that of the "oppressed" Palestinians. It's kind of like discussing the Cambodian influence on German literature.

Statue of Christopher Columbus Attacked in Barcelona
Hat tip Vlad Tepes and Gates of Vienna. Translation by Fousesquawk
In Barcelona, the statue of Christopher Columbus is a major landmark. In the early hours of this morning a bunch of know-nothings sprawled graffiti on the statue and set the base aflame. The fire was quickly put out before major damage could be done.
Several hours prior, the statue had been the scene of protests and counter protests. Representatives of the conservative party, Vox, defended the statue and spoke of what it represents to Spain.
The first video shows a Vox spokesman speaking to a reporter.
The second video shows the damage done to the monument.

UC Berkeley Departmental Chair: "Celebrate Queer Pride /Abolish Police"
Here's another nugget from the pages of the Daily Californian, the campus newspaper of UC Berserkly (sic). Normally, you would assume that crazy op-eds are written by third year journalism majors who still haven't figured out their left hand from their right foot. In this case, we have a UCB professor, a PhD named Juana Maria Rodriguez, who is an ethnic studies professor (surprise). In this masterpiece of intersectionality, her op-ed is entitled: Celebrate queer pride-abolish the police. You need to read this sitting down.
https://www.dailycal.org/2020/06/25/celebrate-queer-pride-abolish-the-police/
Note the jargon used in this literary fart.
"That fateful night on June 28, 1969, when the police raided the Stonewall Inn in New York City,Black queens and sissy boys, Puerto Rican butches and white street hustlers all banded together and fought back, refusing to obey the orders of the police to submit quietly to their own subjugation. Instead of waving rainbow flags with corporate logos and tossing carnival beads, folks were burning trash cans and throwing bricks through storefront windows; sometimes that’s what rebellion looks like."
"The very name of that early queer rights organization shouted out its sense of solidarity with anti-colonial, anti-racist and anti-capitalist struggles happening around the world, echoing UC Berkeley’s own Third World Liberation Front, the student activist group responsible for establishing the ethnic studies department on campus — a department I am proud to chair."
The frickin' chair, be jeezus!
"The function of the police has always been rooted in maintaining social control. In this country, that has always meant the control of Black, Brown and Indigenous bodies and has always been about enforcing social and sexual norms dictated by the interests of capitalism, white supremacy and patriarchy."
"There can be no queer pride without queer protest. This June 28, celebrate queer pride; work to abolish the police."
There it is, Folks. This is what they are teaching our kids in college these days. Note that Rodriguez has to go back to the 1950s and 1960s to give her anecdotal examples of how police are mistreating gay people-and make no mistake, things were rough for gay people back then. However, America is a much more welcoming place for gays now-unlike so many other countries. Ms Rodriguez should check out some Muslim countries to see how they treat gays. I mean, in those societies, gays go right to the top-of tall buildings to be thrown off.
But in the meantime, be sure and mark June 28 on your calendar. (Hey! That's today!)

UCLA Daily Bruin: To B or not to b-That Is the Question
The Daily Bruin, campus paper of UCLA, has announced that henceforth, they will use a capital B to refer to black people, er, Black people. At the same time, they will use a small case w to refer to white people. The reasoning is tortuous, to say the least.
https://dailybruin.com/2020/06/21/the-copy-shop-daily-bruin-will-capitalize-black-and-why-other-publications-are-doing-the-same
“To not name ‘White’ as a race is, in fact, an anti-Black act which frames Whiteness as both neutral and the standard,” Ann Thúy Nguyá»…n and Maya Pendleton wrote in the Center for the Study of Social Policy’s explanation of why it capitalizes white. “Moreover, the detachment of ‘White’ as a proper noun allows White people to sit out of conversations about race and removes accountability from White people’s and White institutions’ involvement in racism.”
"After much deliberation and research, we at The Bruin came to the conclusion to capitalize Black and leave white lowercase. Capitalizing white, we believed, is unlikely to be the solution to complacency among white people in racial injustices. Additionally, its ties to white supremacist groups in the capitalized form are too strong for us to be comfortable adopting the same style."
To which I say, "Whatever floats your boat".
Unlike the DB, I don't want to spend a lot of time and space on this issue. For the last several years, I have noticed that when referring to black or white in referring to people, some would capitalize it while others would not. I myself have done it both ways.
The point I want to make is that whether to capitalize or not here should be a linguistic decision, not a sociological decision. I have already seen some far-left writers deliberately capitalize Black while small casing white as a deliberate sign of disrespect. I have also seen some critics of Islam deliberately small case the i. I do not do that because in English, religions are always capitalized. That is a hard rule.
So to conclude, my retort to UCLA is choose your rule on linguistic grounds and be consistent. To do otherwise is to imply that one is superior and the other is inferior. How about both are equal?
The Stuttgart Riots: Not up for Discussion in State Parliament

On the evening of June 20, a massive riot broke out in Stuttgart, the largest city in the German state of Baden Wuerttemburg. Some of the rioters were German and some were foreigners shouting, "Allahu Akhbar".
When Dr Heinrich Fiechtner rose to speak on the incident in the Baden Wuerttemburg state parliament, he was shut down by the president of the parliament and expelled. The president of the parliament is Muhterem Aras, a Green party member, originally from Turkey.
Here is the link to the video as Dr Fiechtner describes the problem of the riot and who was responsible before he is shut down and expelled from the chamber.
This kind of reminds me of a former president of the Reichstag in Berlin, one Herman Goering. He was pretty quick to slam the gavel too, as I recall.

Miko Peled's Hatred for Israel and America
This article first appeared in New English Review.
Man Without a Country
Miko Peled is a hot-headed martial arts instructor who lives in Southern California. He is also an immigrant from Israel and son of a formal Israeli general. When he's not breaking bricks at the dojo, Miko is on a full-time campaign to destroy the nation of his birth. In fact, he is one of those dime-a-dozen speakers who show up on local college campus, invited to speak by the Students for Justice in Palestine or the Muslim Student Association, and tell his audiences what a horrible, racist, settler-colonialist country Israel is-the country of his birth, mind you. I saw him some years ago at UC Irvine when he was giving his off-the-shelf dog and pony show, and he got all in a tither because I was video-taping him. I had to inform him that he was at a public venue on a public university campus, therefore, I had every right to videotape him. (I continued to videotape.) I know other individuals who have aroused similar ire from the prickly Mr Peled when they videotaped his talks.
In Peled's own events calendar we note that he was scheduled to speak at a May 22, 2020 webinar with noted deportee Sami al Arian, the former University of South Florida professor who was linked to Middle East terror groups. After being imprisoned for a time, he was deported to Turkey where he now resides.
Now Peled is not the first immigrant to America who damns his former country. Some people come from really bad places. I don't consider Israel one of them, but if Peled disagrees that's his right. What I didn't realize until recently is that Peled is no big admirer of his adopted country-America, where he now resides.
In this recent article by Peled, he compares the recent killing of a Palestinian by Israeli police with the killing of George Floyd.
Peled writes:
"People of color in America, and particularly Black men, are hunted down by the authorities all the time. Palestinians are hunted down by Israeli authorities on a regular basis, and in both cases, it is so prevalent that it is hardly news. The name of one victim is forgotten as soon as the next is killed."
"As hard as it may be to believe, in Israeli society, there is less regard for the life and civil rights of Palestinians than there is regard for people of color in the U.S."
Then Peled gets to the meat of the matter:

Then Peled gets to the meat of the matter:
"Perhaps it would be easier to understand and accept this if we stop pretending that the United States and Israel are actual democracies. Perhaps it is time to refer to both Israel and the U.S. as two violent, racist, genocidal, settler-colonial enterprises who could care less for the rights of people."
"While hatred and cruelty can be found everywhere, one can expect things to be worse when a state suffers from systemic racism and has violent tendencies. The United States and Israel suffer from systemic racism and violent tendencies and unless they are cured of these two maladies, there will be more grotesque killers like those that killed George Floyd and Iyad Halak."
First of all, I know nothing about the killing of this Palestinian man in Israel. Here is what the Jerusalem Post says about it. Indeed, on the surface, it looks like a questionable shooting and deserves a full investigation. As for George Floyd, I have commented fully on it (I have condemned the shooting) and if Mr Peled wants to know my full position on that, he can research my postings.
But here is my quandary: Poor Mr Peled, having emigrated from his country of birth, which he clearly despises to the core, now finds himself in America-which he apparently also hates. In his own words, he has said that America (like Israel) is a "violent, racist, genocidal, settler-colonial enterprise who could care less for the rights of people."
Well, I'm sorry if you don't like us, Mr Peled. At the risk of sounding like a nationalist (which I am), I would suggest you consider moving on to another country more to your liking. We don't need folks like you who wash up on our shores and spit on us. We don't need you to tell us about our racial issues. We have been struggling with them and trying to fix them since the 1960s, according to my history book, and we know we have more to do. But we have accomplished more in that regard than any other society could. Speaking as a retired law enforcement officer, I can tell you that the Floyd case was an aberration and is not representative of 99.9% of cops in America.
So leave, Mr Peled. If that is what you really think America is, you obviously chose the wrong country to immigrate to, and you need to find another. I suggest Turkey. Then you can have all the events with Sami al-Arian you want, in person, face to face.
Of course, Peled's reply would be, "I'm not going anywhere." Of course he's not. Life here in this racist, genocidal, settler-enterprise is too good here, isn't it Mr Peled? Hypocrite.

Bubba Wallace and the Noose (Update)
Yahoo News has posted a photo of what is reported to be the noose found in the Talladega garage stall occupied by NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nascar-releases-photo-of-noose-in-bubba-wallaces-garage-stall-explains-investigation-that-ended-with-no-charges-171929373.html
Now that looks like a noose. The question now becomes whether that noose was aimed at Mr Wallace. The FBI determined that it had been there since last October.
Look, I know nothing about NASCAR and racing in general. Since that is the only garage door pull down handle fashioned into the shape of a noose, but it had been there long before Wallace was assigned that stall, is it possible that whoever assigned him that stall knew the pull down rope was shaped like a noose? The Yahoo article seems to imply that possibility.
But anything that even resembles a noose should be considered verboten given the symbolism that it has. If it's laying in the middle of a park and not aimed at any individual, it is still offensive.
What the hell was that thing doing there in the first place?

Netherlands: Parliamentary Study on Dutch Mosques
Hat tip Dagelijkse Standaard
West Amsterdam mosque
The Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament has just concluded a study that reports that Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are having an influence on mosque-goers in the Netherlands. Apparently, the report is more equivocal about the influence of Turkey on Turks living in the Netherlands. The below article is translated from Dutch by Fousesquawk.
https://www.dagelijksestandaard.nl/2020/06/kamercommissie-concludeert-nederlandse-moskeeen-worden-beinvloed-uit-onvrije-landen/
Parliamentary commission concludes Dutch mosques influenced by non-free countries
-By Michael van der Galien, 25 June 2020
The Parliamentary commission that conducted an investigation into the (funding) of mosques and Islamic schools has concluded that: They are influenced through "financiers from non-free lands who want to exercise their political-religious influence in the Netherlands." This concerns "fundamentalist" messages that reject the core values of our society."
The Second Chamber needed a commission in order to conclude that? Literally, everybody knew all along that there were problems, but oh, oh, the (Second) Chamber had to first investigate it thoroughly, and only then could they could say it.
The most important criticism is directed to Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. There imams are trained and indoctrinated with an extreme version of Islam, and then sent out to the Netherlands. "Muslim communities are also bombarded with strict religious messages via social media."
The commission also whines about Turkey- The Diyanet (Turkish agency for religious affairs) is said "hold a political grip on the visitors to the mosques and the Turkish Dutch". If that was true, then you still ask yourself what would be illegal about it. It is completely logical that a country wants to have contact with its citizens, even if they live elsewhere. The Netherlands does no different. And the message from Turkish Diyanet imams is really never anti-democratic and never affects the fundamentals of the democratic constitutional state. Perhaps, that the connections with Turkey are underscored, but yes, in the Netherlands, we have allowed the people to have two passports. So it is logical and even defensible that Turkey contacts its people and treats them as Turks. That they always are.
As regards the anti-democratic, anti-West messages that are preached in Arab and Moroccan mosques: This must naturally be discussed directly with the countries. Possibilities to stop it must be looked at....if the possibilities are legal.
Because yes, in the Netherlands, we have religious freedom. Foreigners can be influenced by the content of religious leaders' speeches.
Oh no, does Michael really write now that they are free and must be free?
Yes, indeed, Yes. There is one limitation, however, that we can place: When the message is against the law. So if they, for example, call for the use of violence against certain people or groups. Legally, you can intervene if they call for the overthrow of the democratic constitutional state itself. Then you can intervene as a government.
But in all other cases, that cannot be done.
Then how to deal with it? By fighting it from the other angle: by understanding that the problem is that Arab and Moroccan mosque goers are seemingly susceptible to an “extremely conservative” (read: fundamentalist or worse) message. So something went wrong either during integration or, if they were born and raised in the Netherlands, in their upbringing. Where did 'we' (go wrong)?

What Was Joe Biden's Role in the Michael Flynn Prosecution?
"Michael Flynn, Michael Flynn. Never heard of him."
Today, it appears that the Michael Flynn case will finally end as a federal appeals court has affirmed the Justice Department's request to dismiss the case.
Also today, we learn the Justice Department had turned over a document to the Flynn attorneys relating to an early January 2017 White House meeting in which the Flynn matter was discussed. According to notes by the infamous Peter Strzok, the meeting included himself, outgoing President Obama, Vice President Biden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice and FBI director James Comey. According to Strzok's notes, Obama, Biden and Comey made some interesting comments.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/06/23/peter-strzok-notes-found-from-key-period-before-white-house-meeting-on-michael-flynn/
(H/T Breitbart)
“Strzok’s notes believed to be of January 4, 2017, reveal that former President Obama, James Comey, Sally Yates, Joe Biden, and apparently Susan Rice discussed the transcripts of Flynn’s calls and how to proceed against him,” Powell wrote. “Mr. Obama himself directed that ‘the right people’ investigate General Flynn.”
-Fox News
And "the right people" did investigate Flynn. It wasn't your normal street agents, but the highest levels of the FBI in their cushy hqs who directed the investigation for political purposes to submarine Trump. The infamous Strzok-Flynn interview took place at the White House on January 24.
And according to Strzok's notes, in the early January meeting, Comey had told the group that Flynn's telephonic contact with the Russian ambassador to the US was "legit".
And Joe Biden? According to the notes, it was Biden who suggested using the Logan Act against Flynn, an act which was over 200 years old and has to this date never been successfully prosecuted.
But wait. Biden has on at least two occasions denied being involved in the investigation and/or prosecution of Flynn. The first time was while being interviewed by ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America on May 12, 2020 (H/T Washington Examiner).
"I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn," Biden said. "This is all about diversion. This is a game this guy plays all the time. The country is in crisis. ... He should stop trying to always divert attention from the real concerns of the American people.”
"But Stephanopoulos followed up, noting that Biden was reported to be in attendance at a Jan. 5, 2017, meeting where he and former President Barack Obama "were briefed" on the FBI's plan to interview Flynn about his conversation with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition period.
"I thought you asked me whether or not I had anything to do with him being prosecuted," Biden replied, after fidgeting with his earpiece. "I was aware that there was, that they asked for an investigation, but that's all I know about it."
The other occasion was during a May 14, 2020 town hall interview by MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell.
"O’Donnell asked. “Mr. Vice President, what was your involvement in the investigation of Michael Flynn and the FBI investigation of Michael Flynn?
“I was never a part or had any knowledge of any criminal investigation into Flynn while I was in office, period. Not one single time,” Biden emphatically replied."
In addition, Biden was also one of those people in the Obama administration who requested the unmasking of information related to Flynn (H/T Red State).
What the FBI did to Michael Flynn was one of the sleaziest operations in the history of federal law enforcement. It is all coming out in the wash thanks to the release of documents that show what these people did. But it gets worse. This was all being discussed in the Oval Office with the President, Vice President, FBI director, and others present. What this shows is that the FBI was coordinating the operation against Flynn with the outgoing administration-in the Oval Office.
It also shows that Joe Biden is a corrupt liar.
Bubba Wallace and the "Noose"
Bubba Wallace
I don't want to trivialize any discussion of nooses in America because as we all know, nooses have a symbolic connotation due to the history of lynchings of black men in the South back in the days of Jim Crow. Yet, this week's story of Bubba Wallace and the "noose" that he found in his assigned race car garage at Talladega invites a great deal of satire.
Watson, who I guess is the only African-American NASCAR racing driver, was at Talladega for their annual race when a "noose" was discovered hanging in the garage which was assigned to him and his car. This just in the wake of Wallace having convinced NASCAR to ban confederate flags. (Racing is a big deal in the South.)
The timing couldn't have been worse-or better- depending on your point of view. With the whole country on edge in the wake of the Minneapolis incident, NASCAR was turned upside down. Demonstrations of solidarity with Wallace poured in, and all the other drivers made a show of embracing Wallace on the track. Given what they thought had happened, the show of support was commendable.
What's more, the FBI sent in 15 special agents to launch an investigation for hate crimes, and there were promises of justice being brought to bear. All of this would have been fitting and proper had there really been a noose. But there wasn't. Yesterday, the FBI announced there was no hate crime. In fact, the "noose" was just a circular rope used as a handle to pull down the garage door. Furthermore, investigation revealed that the device had been there since last October before Wallace was assigned the garage.
All in all, a classic piece of investigation by America's Premier Law Enforcement Agency-and they didn't even need a FISA warrant to figure it all out.
Of course, the FBI knows that the great majority of noose sightings today tend to be hoaxes. This is not to accuse Wallace of intentionally manufacturing a hoax, a'la Jussie Smollett, but noose sightings generally turn out to be unfounded.
I am reminded of the case of the green noose found in the library of UC San Diego several years ago (2010). It was discovered by a black student, and the result was that the campus was turned upside down. The chancellor and vice chancellor led a protest on campus in which the chancellor declared something to the effect of, "Not on our campus".
All well and good until the school uncovered the real culprit. No, we never found out her name, but she penned an anonymous apology to the campus via the school newspaper, pointing out that a friend had showed her how to tie a noose, that she fiddled with it in the library, and then absent-mindedly walked off forgetting all about it. The young lady also informed her readers that she herself was a minority. The girl was reportedly suspended.
If there is a legitimate noose incident put up by some KKK-type, I will be the first to condemn it. It is the last thing our society needs at this time-or any time. We also don't need fake noose stories-either manufactured or sloppily interpreted.
Gender Politics in Germany

In response, Beatrix von Storch of Alternatif fuer Deutschland, a sensible party, took to the Bundestag floor to deride the measure. Watch and listen as the green shirts in the chamber carry on like brown shirts. She makes humorous reference to flamboyant Green party member, Anton Hofreiter.

Muslim Event at Gracie Mansion: Cops and Zionists Not Welcome
Hat tip The Israel Group
Our friends at The Israel Group came across this announcement for an event scheduled June 19th (Juneteenth Day) hosted by a Muslim Group called Believers Bail Out and/or Muslims for Abolition. Of note is the announcement that "cops and Zionists" are not welcome. Also of note is the fact that the event was scheduled to be held at Gracie Mansion, which is the official residence of the mayor of New York (who happens to be an extreme leftist named Bill De Blasio.)
https://theisraelgroup.org/cops-zionists-not-welcome-at-nyc-muslim-event/
I don't know what these folks mean by abolition; abolition from what?
Slavery? Can't be that. We've already done that.
If the answer is bondage, I say, bondage from what?
But at least this group is honest about one thing: They don't like cops, and they don't like anybody who supports Israel. But that comes as no surprise. My real question is why the city of New York and/or the mayor would allow such a restrictive event to take place at Gracie Mansion. Of course, the answer is that Bill De Blasio is mayor. So that also really comes as no surprise.

LA City Councilman Indicted for Bribery
Jose Huizar, LA City Councilman
"Heigh ho, heigh ho,
It's off to jail I go"
Ever since 2018 when the FBI raided his home and office, we've been wondering when LA City Councilman Jose Huizar would fall. Today, it has been announced that Huizar, a Democrat, has been indicted in what is described as a massive bribery operation.
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-06-23/jose-huizar-arrest-corruption-city-hall-fbi-investigation
“Councilman Huizar violated the public trust to a staggering degree, allegedly soliciting and accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from multiple sources over many years. Using the power of his office to approve or stall large building projects, Huizar worked through a web of other corrupt city officials, lobbyists, consultants and developers to line his pockets.”
-US Attorney Nick Hanna
Fousesquawk comment: This never would have happened if Eric Garcetti had been mayor.
Britain's Woes
With all the craziness going on in the US, taking over city blocks and tearing down statues of anybody and everybody, with a man suffering from dementia (Joe Biden) leading in the presidential polls, I could spend this morning writing about what a stupid country we are becoming.
But then again, there is once-Great Britain, where some want to remove the statues of Winston Churchill. Since it is they who are suffering yet another terrorist attack this week, I think I'll write about them-and leave us for another day (tomorrow?)
That brings us to Khairi Saadallah, a 25-year-old pot-smoking Libyan refugee who is charged with stabbing three people to death in a Reading park. It seems that the Brits have now figured out that this was a terrorist attack. Now we are informed that Saadaallah had come to the attention of authorities prior to the attack and had been referred to some miraculous program called Prevent
"An impact assessment commissioned by the Ministry of Justice said that while longer sentences could give terrorists greater opportunity to engage in deradicalisation programmes, there “is a risk of offenders radicalising others during their stays in custody”.
Or you can take the Fousesquawk 45-second course, and learn that the best way to keep the Khairi Saadallahs from killing your fellow citizens is to keep them out of the country in the first place because there's a good chance they will wake up one day and decide it's a good day to go out and kill those infidels who have given them refuge.
And where do you take this course?
You just did.

Well, jail is obviously not the answer, but there is good news. Citizens can now take a 45-minute online training course that will enable them to recognize the signs of a jihadist and notify authorities (who will be be so overloaded with such reports, they will do little or nothing).
"You can learn what suspicious behaviour looks like by doing CT Policing’s online course. It takes 45 minutes to complete the course and be in a stronger position to help save lives. Over half a million people have already taken part and I thank you all."Or you can take the Fousesquawk 45-second course, and learn that the best way to keep the Khairi Saadallahs from killing your fellow citizens is to keep them out of the country in the first place because there's a good chance they will wake up one day and decide it's a good day to go out and kill those infidels who have given them refuge.

Who Is Khairi Saadallah?
Khairi Saadallah (BBC)
Khairi Saadallah, the suspect in Saturday's murderous knife attack in Reading, England, is already getting the "poor, confused, mentally disturbed" treatment from much of Britain's press. The 25-year-old Libyan refugee reportedly has mental issues (like all the others). He claimed to have left Libya to escape the violence. (He also claims to have fought in Libya.) He claimed to have converted to Christianity, most likely a ruse to gain asylum.
In addition, Saadallah reportedly drank whiskey and smoked marijuana. And we all know what that killer weed does to your mind, don't we?
"He seemed like me or you. Whenever we used to meet up we used to talk about drinking whisky and how different ganja affects the different thinking of mind."
However, Saadallah was known to MI5, the British intelligence service. The investigation is being carried out as a terrorist attack, a lone-wolf operation, if you will.

Clueless in Seattle
There is a blogger in Seattle by the name of Richard Silverstein, and his blog is called Tikun Olam, which in Hebrew means, "repair the world". But before you run out to Ace Hardware and ask them if they have any Tikun Olam, you might want to check out the utter nonsense found in Silverstein's blog. I have been periodically checking out Richard's site for humorous articles, and he rarely disappoints though my visits amount to about once a year or so. I occasionally send in a wise guy comment, but he won't post them. Usually, Richard is railing against Israel and supporting all those "peace-loving Palestinians". But now the cause du jour is BLM and Antifa, and Richard is right in the thick of things in Seattle, the city that never

"Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best continues to feed outrageous lies to right-wing national media about the Capitol Hill neighborhood here, which has “liberated” its police Precinct after days of mass police violence targeting local residents."
"The chief peddled a continuous parade of lies including claims there were armed protesters on the streets extorting “tribute” from local businesses. She also complained to her rank and file that the withdrawal from the Precinct was a shameful capitulation to protesters; and that the decision was made against her will. The latest outrage is a claim that police must return to East Precinct because there are rapes and robberies in the neighborhood which they can’t investigate."
"The Department’s own crime statistics show there have been no rapes or robberies reported in the neighborhood for the past week, which is the period in which the police riots and Chaz were declared."
I could go on and on, but you get the picture.
The Pogrom in L.A.
Hat tip Frontpage Magazine
One of the most under-reported incidents in the entire George Floyd aftermath-if not the most under-reported-was the literal anti-Jewish pogrom that occurred May 30th in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles, a traditionally Jewish area of the city. Synagogues were vandalized, shops were broken into and looted, and night-riders-not the KKK-type-but night-riders, nonetheless, drove down the streets shouting, "F the Jews" and Kill the Jews". Many of these perpetrators were black and represented the Black Lives Matter movement. That is the reason, the incident has been under-reported. That has also been true for many quarters of the Jewish leadership, who would rather tolerate and bury anti-Semitism from certain quarters because it doesn't fit into the politically-correct narrative. While the windows were being broken and synagogues defaced, the LA Jewish Journal was running articles asking how Jews could be better allies to the black community.
Daniel Greenfield is one of those commentators who is not afraid to speak out against haters of any stripe. Thus, he has been one of the most vocal reporters of the pogrom that occurred in LA in the name of Black Lives Matter. In this latest article in Frontpage Magazine, Greenfield informs us that a BLM leader in Los Angeles, made some very interesting comments about taking the "struggle" to certain neighborhoods.

"Melina Abdullah, the lead organizer of Black Lives Matter in LA and a professor of Pan-African Studies at Cal State, had been very clear about her motive for bringing her hateful campaign to the area.
"We've been very deliberate in saying that the violence and pain and hurt that's experienced on a daily basis by black folks at the hands of a repressive system should also be visited upon, to a degree, to those who think that they can just retreat to white affluence," the BLM-LA co-founder ranted."
And so they came to Fairfax.
As we have our "national discussion" on race (which, to be honest, we have been having since the 1960s), the black community, which is plagued with many problems, should also come to terms with its own prejudices including anti-Semitism. To be sure, anti-Semitism is not just a black problem; it affects almost all peoples, and we should never leave the odious Antifa out of the discussion.
Americans and Europeans of many races have bought into the Palestinian victim narrative that has brought a resurgence of anti-Semitism not just to America but the rest of the world where Jews have any presence. (There are few Jews left in the Arab world after having been driven out in the late 40s when Israel was created, but Jew-hatred there is hardly in short supply.) Part of the West's surrender to Islam is joining in the bashing of Israel and tolerating attacks against Jews on European and American streets. Somewhere in the mix in the US are the KKK-type, neo-Nazis, and white nationalists, but contrary to the leftist propaganda, they are a fringe minority. Jew hatred on the left is today's biggest threat, a feature of the so-called red-green alliance.
And so we have people like Melina Abdullah and BLM, the latter becoming some kind of national mantra; ("Amazon stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter".) One thing BLM did very successfully was to adopt a name that no decent person could argue against as a concept. Of course, black lives matter. All lives matter. Oops, can't say that because it is "racist". If we say blue lives matter (our police) that is also "racist".
So now we have people who call themselves Black Lives Matter attacking whites, attacking Jews, and attacking police while being celebrated by everybody even a bit to the left. Call me naive, but I still believe in my heart of hearts that there are some, if not many, blacks marching peacefully under the banner of BLM, but they are being used by the ones behind the peaceful protesters who would rather throw rocks, and burn down stores.
And that also pertains to Antifa, overwhelmingly white and just a bunch of anarchistic thugs (some of whom have PhDs, by the way).
It comes down to this: When a cop in Minneapolis kills a handcuffed man with a tactic that no law enforcement academy teaches, people are right to be outraged and demand justice. Justice is in progress. People are right to march and protest. Police forces all over the country, no doubt cursing what that cop in Minneapolis did, are protecting the right of people to protest, but taking a lot of unjustified abuse in the process.
But when you turn to violence, burning, looting attacking people because they are white or Jewish, that must also be called out. What happened in the Fairfax district was a hate crime. Had white racists rode through a black neighborhood, vandalizing churches, attacking innocent people, and yelling, "F the blacks" or "kill the blacks", we would all condemn them. Unless you believe in double standards, this must also be condemned.
To say that black lives matter is something we can all get behind. Those who point out the black on black murders that rampage through black communities, especially Chicago, have a point. Those who point out the huge percentage of black babies aborted every year and the astronomical number of lost human lives have a point. What does Black Lives Matter, the movement have to say about that? Crickets.
Black Lives Matter, like it's sister organization, Antifa (Anti-Fascist), is a fraud hiding behind what sounds like a noble name. We can all be against fascism and support the concept that black lives matter, but we do not have to support these two despicable organizations, who have perverted their own names.

Cops in Seattle
Above is Seattle PD footage of what happened early Saturday morning when a shooting occurred in the area of Seattle taken over by Antifa and Black Lives Matter. One person was killed, but that apparently did not justify police intervention in the eyes of the occupiers.
