Kaukab Siddiqi and pals
"This is a bunch of scumbags."
As I reported last night, I got into a Facebook exchange with Lincoln University professor Kaukab Siddique, a man with a long history of incendiary remarks about gays, Jews, Israel and the West in general, After a few exchanges he blocked my access. It all began with a Facebook posting he made under the title, "
Manchester or Mosul", in which he compared the victims of Manchester unfavorably to those of Mosul. Siddique blamed the West for the latter's suffering while saying not one word about the role of ISIS or the suffering of Christians and Yazidis. In my initial comment, I reproached him for that and suggested that those suffering in Mosul were ultimately suffering because of the faith, which Siddique claimed were comforting them (ISLAM).
When he responded that I didn't know anything about America or Islam, I told him that as a 71-year-old American, I knew plenty about my country. I also said that I had learned everything I needed to know about Islam when I learned that the punishment for apostasy is death. I told him that I regarded Islam as a violent and hateful ideology. Since he believes in death for blasphemers as well, I asked him what he planned to do about me since I had committed "blasphemy".
In addition to his posting in chief, which I cut and pasted last night, I would like to report three of the statements he made to me which came across my email, for the record. The first was in response to a statement I made about his bigotry against gays.

The below message was in response to my comment in response to his statement that Israel would be militarily defeated. I reminded him that the Arab world had tried to do that unsuccessfully three times.

While I did not save my previous comments, when I realized further comments were being blocked I copied the final one.
Whatever it says in the Bible it is old pages gathering centuries of dust because we do not kill homosexuals in the name of our God. We may disapprove, we may oppose gay marriage, but we don't kill them. Obviously in Islam it is still carried out- with your approval. You also approve of killing blasphemers and those who speak ill of mohammad. Remember this? "Almost all Islamic scholars agree that one who insults, abuses or ridicules the Prophet, pbuh (peace be upon him), should be killed," Siddique wrote after January's massacre at the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo killed 12 people."

Now a word about Siddique's "heroic mujahideen". They are the Muslims who kill innocents for the glory of Allah. Just this week, the man who set off a bomb in Manchester killing 22 people including an 8-year-old girl was a mujahideen. So were the gunmen in Egypt who today murdered 26 Coptic Christians on a bus going to a monastery. Perhaps, you remember the two Palestinian men who entered the home in the Israeli settlement of Itamar in 2011 slaughtering almost an entire family as they slept including a month-old baby in its crib. They were Siddique's heroic mujahideen too.
Here you have a man who immigrated to this country from that trash heap known as Pakistan. Yet, he trashes America and the West in general while expressing hatred to gays, Jews and anyone who doesn't bow down and submit to his own religion. One wonders why he stays here.
One wonders why he is teaching in an American university.
Final comment: He is also a coward. When faced with someone who knows about him and his twisted beliefs, he shuts the door and hides.
