Swedish NGOs Against Israel

Hat tip Algemeiner

Once again Sweden is back in the news, and it's not for anything good. The country leads the world when it comes to anti-Israel NGOs, and things are not getting any better under the new prime minister Stefan Lofven. The Swedish government has just announced it will "recognize" the "State of Palestine".

I have written previously about Diakonia on this site in connection with the UC Irvine Olive Tree Initiative. It seems that one of OTIs principle figures in recent years has been one Shannon Shibata, who founded the Centre for New Diplomacy-in Sweden of all places. It was hardly by accident since most all of her board of directors were Swedish/European anti-Israel activists. One (Joakim Wohlfeil) was a policy officer with Diakonia. Sometime after I wrote a lengthy posting describing the board of directors for CND, the organization was reconstituted in Southern California.

As for Adrian Kaba of the Social Democrats in Malmö, he ought to pay more attention to what is happening in his own city, which is number one when it comes to anti-Semitism in Europe not to mention periodic riots in the Muslim quarter of Rosengaard.
