The model of Berlin by Albert Speer was not meant to compare our government with Nazis. Rather it was to make the point that our govt is becoming..what is the word...grandious?

Strange that I must confess that as many times as I have seen the word "obtuse", I will have to look it up in the dictionary to see what it actually means.

But you are also guilty of completely misinterpreting the reason why I chose Albert Speer's model of a future Berlin to make my point. It was not to compare the current govt to Nazis rather to show the onscene growth of govt to monumental proportions.

No it didn't happen in the last three months. I have written of the role of Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, and Chris Dodd in this mess. Bush was indeed president then. A few short years ago, Republicans in Congress were sounding the alarm on the unsound practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie mac. The Dems (Frank, Waters et al) rushed to their defense and protected them. Read up on the history of the Community Reinvestment Act.; March 18, 2009 at 9:08 AM

Look up the history of the Community Reinvestment Act.
