Terror Attack in Brussels. Targets Apparently Swedish

*Update: October 17, 2023. The terror suspect was located by police sometime later and shot to death. His name is Abdesalem Lassoued (45), a Tunisian in the country illegally. The Italian daily, Corriere della Sera, is reporting that he arrived at Lampedusa in 2011 and was later expelled from Sweden.

It has happened yet again. In Brussels, three Swedish nationals, apparently attending a soccer match between Belgium and Sweden, have been shot. Two are dead and one is wounded. The suspect is believed to be a Tunisian nation, born in 1978, who claims to be a member of the Islamic State. It is assumed he chose Swedes as his victims due to the ongoing controversy over Koran book burnings in Sweden.

The suspect is still on the loose but is apparently identified.

The below article from the French-language Belgian daily, La Libre, is translated by Fousesquawk.

On Monday, at about 19:30, an individual dressed in a fluorescent vest, fired an assault weapon on Swedish fans present in Brussels for this evening's Euro 24 elimination match between Belgium and Sweden. The assailant, who arrived at Neuvieme de Ligne Blvd. and Sainctelette on a scooter, killed two persons (who are reportedly of Swedish nationality) and wounded others.

Before committing the act, the armed individual posted a video on social media in which he explained his motives. He claims to be a member of the Islamic State and claims to have killed three persons.

According to our information, the suspect is a Tunisian, whose initials are L.A., born 1 September 1978. He requested asylum in 2019.

Insert: Brussels: Attack claimed in name of the Islamic State. I recognize the Tunisian accent. The man rejoices in having shot down three persons of Swedish origin. Belgium-Sweden  match, October 16, 2023.

His motive appears to be revenge, possibly after copies of the Koran that were burned and/or trampled these past weeks in Sweden. The nation notably permitted a demonstration in which the organizers wanted the sacred book of the Muslims to be banned in Sweden, which did not help to improve relations between the European country and the Middle East.

The perpetrator is still on the run at the time of this report.

6-Year-Old Palestinian Boy Stabbed to Death Outside Chicago

-Washington Post

In the midst of the latest horrific wave of anti-Semitism that has accompanied the Hamas attack on Israel, there has been a tragic event in Illinois, that we cannot ignore. A 71-year-old man, Joseph Czuba, has been charged with the stabbing murder of a 6-year-old Palestinian boy, Wadea Alfayoumi, and attempted murder of his mother. It is reported that the suspect shouted, "All you Muslims must die" during the attack.

This must be condemned by all people of conscience. These victims were innocent. I have always been consistent that attacking Muslims in retaliation for the acts of others is inexcusable.

Joint Letter to American University Presidents on Behalf of Jewish Students

The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law,  along with several other major Jewish organizations, has co-signed a joint letter to American university presidents nationwide asking them to ensure the safety of Jewish students on their respective campuses. In the wake of the horrific attack against Israel and its civilians by Hamas on October 7, several campuses, as well as several US cities, have witnessed obscene demonstrations in support of this attack. The implications for the safety of Jewish students are clear.

The letter is self-explanatory and can be accessed here.

NYC Teacher Lauds Hamas Attack on Israel

Mohammad Jehad Ahmad

A New York City school teacher named Mohammad Jehad Ahmad at  Gotham Tech High School has praised the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel. He calls it a successful military campaign.

Beheading babies, slaughtering children, butchering 260 concert-goers, and kidnapping civilians is a "successful military campaign", according to this jerk. What a cancer we have in our schools.

Let's see what his reaction is after the IDF completes its military campaign in Gaza and finishes with Hamas.

Atrocities Against Babies in Israel Confirmed

In the past couple of days, there has been some back and forth on the reports of Israeli babies being burned alive and/or decapitated. Were these reports confirmed? In the below article by the Jerusalem Post, it is reported that the stories have been confirmed and that photos of the murdered babies have been shown to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

And to imagine that tens of thousands of Hamas supporters in the West have been demonstrating in favor of these savages.

Stanford: "Oh Where is the Appropriate Place to Hang Pro-Hamas Banners?"

 Hat tip Campus Reform

-Photos and above quote: Campus Reform

”An effort is being made to identify the individuals who hung the banners so they may be advised where the banners may be posted without violating university rules,” reads the statement signed by Vice Provost for Student Affairs Susie Brubaker-Cole and Dean for Religious and Spiritual Life Tiffany Steinwert."

The weak-kneed administrators at Stanford University are wringing their hands trying to figure out an appropriate place to place pro-Hamas banners that were hung around campus, apparently in the dead of night. As to the content of the banners in the wake of the murderous assault upon Israel in which Hamas murdered hundreds of innocent civilians, including women, children, and even babies?

Well, they take no official position on these geo-political matters.

But wait! They actually do. The president and provost of Stanford, to their credit)  have issued statements condemning the Hamas attacks. They just can't figure out what to do with banners supporting the evil side.

Campus Reform has the report.

Fousesquawk comment: As for a suitable location for the pro-Hamas banners, may I suggest........

France: Teacher Stabbed to Death at a School by Muslim

Arras, France

This morning in Arras, France, a Muslim man attacked a teacher with a knife, killing him and wounding two others. President Macron responded to the scene. Whether this is a part of the so-called "Day of Rage" called for by Hamas is not known. According to several news sources, the man is of Russian-Chechen origin, or possibly Ingush.

Deadly attack in Arras: Emmanuel Macron mentions another "attempted attack thwarted"

From the Gambetta High School in Arras, where a teacher was killed in a knife attack Friday, Emmanuel Macron called on the French people to remain "united" and to "stand against" the "barbarity of Islamist terrorism". He also mentioned another "attempted attack" thwarted the same day in Les Yvelines.

By France 24

On Friday, October 13, during a speech at the Arras high school where a teacher was killed in a knife attack the same morning, Emmanuel Macron indicated that another "attempted attack" in "another region", had been foiled thanks to the intervention of police.

"Another intervention made it possible to thwart an attempted attack underway in another region", the Chief of State declared. The minister of Interior later clarified that he was talking about an arrest and placement in custody of a man known for "radicalization" for possession of a prohibited weapon as he left a paper room in Limay (Yvelines).

At the Leon Gambetta High School, the chief of state called on the French people to remain "united" and "stand against the barbarity of Islamist terrorism."

"Let nothing divide us"

"Let us remain united," "We stand as a block, and we stand firm," Emmanuel Macron declared in the courtyard of a building located across from the high school where the attack took place Friday morning.

"I am here to bear witness to the support of the nation, to say that we stand as a block and we are standing firm," " the choice has been made not to give in to terror, that nothing will divide us," the president repeated, who had called on the French people, Thursday night, to be "united" after the Hamas attack against Israel.

Students for Justice in Palestine Demonstration at UC Irvine (2)

Hat tip A

Last night, we posted photos from a demonstration held by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UC Irvine during the afternoon. Here are two short videos of that disgusting demonstration held in spite of the horrific atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israelis including babies.

SJP at UC Irvine Demonstrates for the Hamas Terrorists

 Hat tip A

On October 12, Students for Justice in Palestine at UC Irvine stooped to a new low. In the face of the unspeakable massacres carried out in Israel by Hamas, SJP conducted a rally on campus on behalf of Hamas. I have obtained photos and videos of this obscene gathering. We will post the videos shortly.

Despicable Support for Hamas

As I have previously called for, once again, it is past time for universities across the nation to ban Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) from their campuses. Ever since their founding by UC Berkeley professor Hatem Bazian (a Palestinian), they have disrupted pro-Israel campus events across the nation. I have personally witnessed their tactics at UC Irvine during my years teaching there. They are a despicable organization. In the wake of the horrific atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israelis, including the elderly, women, and children-even babies, SJP has reached a new low in coming out in support of Hamas at this time. I have been informed that they organized some sort of rally at UC Irvine today.

And then we have the spectacle of some professors offering extra credit to students to attend SJP events-such as reported by Fox News at the University of Virginia. It is sickening and once again demonstrates the moral and intellectual rot of academics who support Hamas and other violent organizations dedicated to the destruction of the Jewish state.

Hamas has called for Muslims worldwide to engage in a "Day of Rage" tomorrow, October 13, to support them in their murderous war against Israel. No doubt, there will be a wave of violence around the world as a result. Shame on those who respond to the call of this murderous group of monsters. I suspect our universities will be very busy tomorrow.

Australia: Pro-Palestinian Mob in Sydney Chants, "F--- the Jews" and "Gas the Jews"

                                              Photo-ABC

On the evening of October 9, a pro-Palestinian mob marched to the Sydney Opera House in support of the Hamas butchers. They were captured on video chanting, "F--- the Jews" and "Gas the Jews".

The below article in American Military News has the story and the video (viewer warning).

https://americanmilitarynews.com/2023/10/video-gas-the-jews-chanted-in-australia-by-pro-palestine-mob/

Side note: It is being reported worldwide that Hamas is calling on the Muslim world internationally to "show their anger" on Friday. Of course, Friday is the Islamic holy day. No doubt, hate and violence will be preached in many mosques around the world (not all, of course). Tomorrow promises to be a busy day.

Germany: Teacher Assaulted by Student Over Palestinian Flag

Not unexpectedly, the conflict in Israel is being played out in streets and educational institutions in Europe and the US. Berlin, which is already dealing with rock-throwing pro-Palestinian demonstrators, has also had an incident this week at a secondary school in the Neukoelln district. A student came to school with a Palestinian flag, and a fight ensued with a teacher. According to a Swiss news outlet, Blick, the teacher asked the student to remove the flag and was reportedly head-butted by another student, who was, in turn, slapped by the teacher. Police had to be called in. Now Berlin police have had to break up demonstrations in front of the school by the students and their parents.

The below article from Berliner Morgenpost is translated by Fousesquawk.

After a fight in a school, several dozen people gathered for a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Police intervened.

Berlin police banned a demonstration in front of the Ernst-Abbe School in Neukoelln. About 60 people came to the demonstration, among them students, and their parents as well. The police had to contend with the heated atmosphere with 150 officers.

Ernst-Abbe School: Conflict between student and teacher

At the Arnst-Abbe School on Sonnenallee (street), a student showed up on Monday with a Palestinian flag, whereupon there was a violent confrontation with a teacher. The demonstration planned for Wednesday was initiated by the parents. The Berlin police had safety concerns.

In addition, a Palestinian demonstration planned for Wednesday afternoon was banned by police because it represented a danger to public safety and order. This concerns the current situation in the Middle East and crimes at previous demonstrations. On Saturday, the pro-Palestinian network Samidoun celebrated the attack against Israel on a street in Neukoelln. (With German Press Agency)
