On April 7, 2021, the conservative VOX party of Spain held a campaign rally in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas. The speakers were local VOX candidate Rocio Monasterio and VOX party leader Santiago Abascal. There was a police presence, but they were unable to contain the anti-Vox crowd from showing up, throwing objects at the speaker and battling the police.

Abascal lays the blame on Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and Podemos Party leader Pablo Iglesias for encouraging the mob and using police to restrict access to VOX events by their supporters. He was interviewed on April 8 by Antena 3. We are working on sub-titling an excerpt from that interview.
