In April, J-Street, the US-based Jewish organization that labels itself, "Pro-Israel, pro-Palestinian, pro-peace" will be holding its annual (virtual) conference. This organization, which is anything but pro-Israel, will be featuring an all-star lineup of liberal Democrat politicians who are, well, anything but pro-Israel. No Republican participants are listed, which is ironic since it is the Republican party that is pro-Israel. The announcement is below:

Look at this list of "pro-Israel" speakers:
Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA)
Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA)
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT)
Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
Congresswoman Katie Porter (D-CA)
It is the choice of Warnock that really raises eyebrows.
Oh, I almost forgot. There are three Israelis participating. Here they are:
Member of Knesset Merav Michaeli of the Labor Party (recently interviewed by CNN's Christiane Amanpour).
Member of Knesset Ayman Odeh of the Hadashi Party. He is an unabashed Palestinian supporter who has expressed his support for "the armed Palestinian struggle" and the First Intifada. Pro-Israel indeed.
Both of the above Knesset members are strong foes of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu.
Finally, there is former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. He served a term in prison for bribery. A great choice. I'm sure everyone will stand in respect when he comes on the screen.
The real outrage here is this organization is totally dishonest in its agenda. You cannot call yourselves pro-Israel when you support virtually every Palestinian position in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Yet that is exactly what they do. At least the Jewish Voice for Peace is honest in its opposition to Israel in spite of its misleading name.
So enjoy your conference, J-Street. But stop pretending you are pro-Israel.
