Yahoo News has posted a photo of what is reported to be the noose found in the Talladega garage stall occupied by NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace.

Now that looks like a noose. The question now becomes whether that noose was aimed at Mr Wallace. The FBI determined that it had been there since last October.
Look, I know nothing about NASCAR and racing in general. Since that is the only garage door pull down handle fashioned into the shape of a noose, but it had been there long before Wallace was assigned that stall, is it possible that whoever assigned him that stall knew the pull down rope was shaped like a noose? The Yahoo article seems to imply that possibility.
But anything that even resembles a noose should be considered verboten given the symbolism that it has. If it's laying in the middle of a park and not aimed at any individual, it is still offensive.
What the hell was that thing doing there in the first place?
