The Failure of the Jewish Establishment: A Cross-Post

I am cross-posting an article by Charles Jacobs and Avi Goldwasser which calls out today's national Jewish leadership and reflects my views to a T.

I won't add much to this because I have written on this subject for years, and I support the efforts of the authors. I know that Mr Jacobs has been the object of much scorn in the Boston area for trying to alert the Jewish community to the dangers of that area's two largest mosques, the Boston Islamic Society Cultural Center and the Cambridge Mosque, which are affiliated with other and have a long and well documented history of terrorist members including the notorious authors of the Boston Marathon bombings. For that, Jacobs has been excoriated by the area's leading rabbis who are invested in interfaith charades with those mosques.

I am glad that the authors of this article also took the time to exclude the Zionist Organization of America from those that have utterly failed the Jewish community in standing up to today's anti-Semitism-at least when it comes from Islamic quarters. The ZOA has stood with us in our efforts to bring attention to anti-Semitism at the UC Irvine campus-when others, like the ADL, Jewish Federation, and Hillel  would not.

At a time when Jews are under attack in America, they need better leadership than has been provided by the ADL, Jewish Federation and Hillel.
