I remember several years ago when Ann Coulter came to speak at UC Irvine and everything went off without a hitch (other than her being late due to the heavy traffic from LA-Orange County).
But, Irvine (though it has its moments) is hardly Berkeley. So when Coulter spoke at UC Berkeley this week, everybody went nuts-or maybe I should say remained in place.

In the third video (and photo above) you see a green cap that reads, "National Lawyers Guild legal observer". The NLG is a Marxist organization founded in the 1930s as a legal arm of the Communist Party USA. They haven't changed much since. For the past few years, they have made it a practice to accompany protesters like these in order to ENSURE THAT THEIR RIGHTS ARE PROTECTED.
I can assure you that they were not there to protect the rights of Ann Coulter or her audience.
And to think that UC Berkeley was the much-heralded birthplace of the free speech movement.
